I really liked that change as well and I'm quite confident it will make it's way back into the game soon.
As already mentioned it's only removed due to technical reasons.

Give up timer was the same as the minimum spawn time (accordingly to the manual), but as you had to wait for a few seconds after giving up (and you had increased the spawn time in PR1.0), it kinda "felt" longer.

How about you set the give up timer to something like "minimum spawn time - 10 seconds"

Btw why have you decreased the spawn time again? Bad feedback?

And what do you think about giving the insurgents civilian a reduction in respawn time, when he dies as martyr? Even if he dies the way he should ( :D ) and greatly helps the team, he has many downtimes (45s respawn time + 2 minutes ROE waittime), so this still "feels" like a punishment.

I like the shorter spawn time and I hope you guys show something for the newcomers when you're wounded, because it can be confusing at times. Waiting on that update!!

My god I had the option to revive 28 players. But NNOOOOO
We lost that round from the silly give up timer.
It's not the timer, it's the players who gave up that lost the round for you. IMO the timer has nothing to do with a lot, it's the people who don't want to wait / or don't even know they can be revived. Once the noobs thin out, this will be a non-issue, as it almost already is a non-issue.

And now, we wait.....

I constantly hit the give up button when I think I'm about to have the option to do so but then I unexpectedly hit the suicide button when someone revive me without notice. It's one of the downside of the currently give up system.

Did you guys even read the changelog that was quoted in this thread? Or any of the Devs posts? Its temporary until they can get a timer that shows the giveup/respawn time.

Oh yes we read. BUt if i understood correctly, before with the no-give up mechanism, the respawn time was 60sec, they lowered it to 45 now... that can stay, if the timer is brought back in or not...

heres an idea..

how about you do your best not to die !!!

I think one of the main ideas is that players should learn how to live longer than just make kills, so its a penalty for dieing!!!

also its good as other people have mentioned that it stops players from wasting tickets so quickly

-Temporarily removed the Give Up delay until we can implement a visual cue.
-Decreased spawn time from 60 seconds to 45 seconds, and suicide penalty from 30 seconds to 15 seconds.
Only the Give up Delay change is mentioned to be "temporarily". The spawn time reduction "seems" to be permanent and thats why some of us liked to know: "Btw why have you decreased the spawn time again? Bad feedback?"

Do these guys even read the changelog, they state i haven't read? -.-

Having regularly started to wait 5 mins for a medic before being dead dead, I'd rather have a longer period where you can't give up. People waste so many tickets. Even 1 live squad member can pick up the medic kit and save the squad.

Don't you lose 1 ticket when you're wounded, and a further ticket if you die?

lol

You really cannot' hear the epipen being popped or the medic crawling all over your body? I also sometimes spam the give up button but I never get revived by a surprise even by a smurf medic. Also you can still use your map if your dead to see if a medic is nearby.

I wouldn't call this a problem at all. There are many other things that are much bigger "problems" than this.

wtf?

I would wait for a medic if you are close to teammates.
But if you are behind enemy lines, then I would give up! :(

Plus, with your "i unexpectedly hit the suicide button when someone revive me without notice"
I have done that a few times in 1.0! :( It seems like it only occurs when there is less then 50 tix left. :|

But, if you see someone enjoying your body... I mean crawling over your body, don't do anything! :D
