Do you think the removal of binocs was a good idea in terms of gameplay?

There's no binos and rarely any scopes in PR:F, I don't see people complaining on that. I don't get why we need so many scopes/binos anyways.

Because it was fair. No one felt disadvantaged.
I loved the small Falkland map (goosey green? Can't remember the name), for this very simply reason.
It was a perfect map and i'd wish more PR maps would be like that.

I like how you say that binocs gives you an advantage and superior hand in AAS then bash INS where everybody has binocs.

And IRL, armour, artilerry and cas are the important things. Infantry just gets the details done, and actually seize areas. It would be cool if >jeep vehicles couldnt actually cap flags...

IMO, I think binos should come back to the Breacher\Whatever, HAT (inb4 spot with the launcher, we all know what happens :razz :) and Medic kit (If the devs decide on not adding a scope for them), they are at a disadvantage for the most part compared to 0.98 but not all kits should have so much "magic". I also think that the AK-47, G3 and AKS-74u INS kits should get a bino and at least one F1 grenade.

Might help if the IDF get binos on Bijar Canyons. The IDFs infantry always seem to get stomped on.

I'm very tired of running around blind, specially when you don't even have sights with magnification.
It's actually very much like being near sighted and not wearing glasses :-)

And if the devs dislike the idea of everyone having them... at least give classes with no optics binos.

The argument that says "you'll have to rely more on people with scopes/binos" is just utterly irrelevant. If you're the medic (no scope and no binos) and all your squad is dead, what do you do? you take a kit on the ground to use its scope to check what you want and take back your medic kit?

Come on seriously, it pisses a lot of people off to just be blind as hell when they play, and to not even be able to make the difference between a bush and a guy/HMG/TOW/FOB/tank/APC/car/tree/bla bla bla.

I vote keep it like this, cause for 1, Army do not issue binos to every single soldier in the field, only squad leader, crew commander, officer/you got the idea/... [personal opinion]Also, i think the scoped kit, should be widespreaded even more than they are, well field to every single Western soldier as it is IRL. [/personal opinion] And the scoped kit, give every rifleman a magnification of atleast 3x, wich is quite fair to me.

We have been talking about this in the dev forums for quite a long time. There are no plans to make any changes to the current setup.

Considering both thread-polls made about it, there should be plans.
Gameplay features can't just be decided by a couple of people who are by far not the most active players in PR and therefor by far not the most experienced ones. Gameplay changes have to be based on our whole community's opinions, not just a few people who barely even play :|

It's not like a map or a new vehicle. It is about the game itself, if one doesn't play it enough they shouldn't even be allowed to put big changes in place regarding gameplay simply because they are not as concerned as "real" players.

To make it short I'll call this "biased".

By your logic the top 3 players who have clocked the most hours in BF3 should be hired as DICE's lead designers... Come on dude. Its pretty insulting to imply that all these changes are just made blindly with no consideration. And yes, of course we do play the mod.

You do play the mode, but you know yourself some (quite a lot actually) DEVs really don't or barely. Both polls made about this topic showed that the majority want a change, since only the first option is in favour of keeping it as it is.

My point is that, things like maps/statics/vehicles/codes and what not don't really require a global opinion, but gameplay is way too important (and is actually the main part of the game) to be only judged by a few people!

All I see is that more than half of the voters dislikes the current state of this matter.

Also why do some people use question mark where full stop should be placed instead?

Not to start nitpicking here but the poll was made shortly after the release of 1.0. IMO you can't judge changes during the first weeks/month of a release since people need to learn and adapt, thus falsifying the actual result of the poll.

My impression since the removal of binocs was:
