"Your class, and why"
Medic, you might not get the big kills, but you can help your team where it counts. Plus, as a chopper pilot, my passengers benefit from it even more. My only complain is how much punishment a medic must suffer i his line of duty, or in the words of the field surgeon in the Saving Private Ryan D-Day landing scene:
"Give us a goddamn chance you heartless ********!"

I like them all, depends what task is needed. They're all essential, having a balanced squad is important.
I'm getting into piloting planes more. Love the SU34.. just come out of multiplay.co.uk with a 79-1 ( i got tked 30secs from end...
) bombing score.. 142 points!
I try not to rape their runway because you don't live as long and the planes are better used helping out the troops on the attack or when their back is to the wall. You're more likely to get some accidental tks along the way doing it that way, but it helps the team cap bases and it's more satisfying to kill a tank mowing down troops than a nub waiting for a chopper. I tend to create a squad and have the commander pick targets. Means u can commo with the other jet and also lets a copilot spawn into the plane,
Engineer is probably the hardest, the shotgun is great close up, but out in the open you're a sitting duck.

Sniper mainly, because so few people out there know what they are doing with it. It's not about the kills, it's about slowing the enemy down, causing fear and confusion, and giving information from vantage points on the enemy for a long period of time without dying often.
The kills are secondary.
If I pop someone in a stinger-turret with a round, he will run out of the turret. I can do that from across the map - that is power. I just saved any vehicles or helicopters in the vicinity from possible death with one click. I can keep people running around and looking for cover, or trying to find me.
I can cause people to come after me physically in frustration and anger, only to die to claymores.. possible causing them to bring a friend, or use a valuable helicopter, or an airstrike on me.
That is power.
My secondary roles are varied.. I am hoping that the support role will get greater accuracy when prone, as a lot of people like being medics, but fewer people ever have ammo to give out, so I'd like to fill that niche.. and also being able to cover an area with suppressing, rapid fire.

I play as either assault or SF. Wich one depends on every one else. If most people are playing infantry I'll go assault since I find the grenade launcher more usefull than normal grenades or C4. However if there's armor are around, I'll play SF as that's kinda the "do every thing" class. You can take down any thing on the ground with SF. Wether it be sneaking up on an over confident tanker, or taking on some enemy infantry.

SpecOps
Though I fear C-4 may become BF2's Ex-pack...I find the SpecOps classes the most fun so far. it is quite satisfying to blow enemy laiden vehicles sky high when they least expect it.
Too bad their's not a suicide bomber class for the MEC. God, would that be great

Sniper. As Ironside said; not many people know how to use it. Irritating the enemy from behind their lines; forcing them to concentrate manpower that could better be spent capturing spawns. I still cant help but smile everytime I snipe someone, they respawn...come running to where they think I am and walk straight into a claymore.
The only thing more satisfying is when you fire a few shots from an obvious position (i.e. hotel roof) then make a quick getaway and find somewhere nice and subtle to hide and watch as someone comes up to find you, realises you arent there, settles down into their nice sniping spot, only to take a bullet in the face for their trouble.
The sniper rifles arent as bad as we all thought at first either, they may be underpowered, but with a little practice headshots become pretty easy, and those are always 1-hit kills.

im everything or anything that needs to be filled in. Im a fairly good airplane pilot, but if im going against a vet with a joystick, ill merely give someone a good chase. im mainly antitank, because you never know when a tank is going to roll in, or if a hummer filled with troops is going to come by. so im always in that class when im in a squad. im a medic when i need to be, and i love being spec ops, their guns are always pretty accurate, and powerful enough to where i can take care of people easily at a distance. although im dissapointed, i dont seem to get points when i blow stuff up which, i really think i should because me and my squad are risking our lives behind enemy lines to hinder the other team greatly its NICE playing knowing you wont get shelled with arty.

when i know i'll be piloting a plane or helicoper (i love helos) i usually choose specops, because their gun is pretty accurate and they have long sprints. else i like being sniper. yesterday i kept killing guys with the sniper rifle on an enemy base so they had no-one left there and we could cap it. also a trick is to snipe from the hotel roof, which is an obvious spot, and when they spot me just crawl back and wait say 15 sec. either they'll come up the ladder to get me but the ladder is guarded with a claymore at the top, or they'll keep whatching the spot they last saw me at, in which case i will just move some distance and kill them easily.

medic, saving live's.
But it really depend's on what type of situation my team is in. if they need mdeic's i'll be a medic, if they need support i'll support.....but basically anything that helps my team. It put's a big smile on my face at the end of a day

Balance is whysolodude23 wrote:Lol, the M4's 5.56 rounds are less powerful than the M16's 5.56 rounds, wtf?
Also, I think the M16 has a little more muzle velocity than the M4, and there is new 5.56ammo out thats a bit more powerful (forget what its called, starts with an M and has a bunch of Ss in the name), so maybe the BF2 M16A2 is using these new rounds
Im whatever class my team needs. Defaultely, Im either asssault or medic, because I like the rifles and hand-thrown nades and Grenade launcher. Sometimes Im engineer is arty or vheicle repairs are needed, and other times support gunner when there are a LOT of attackers and firepowerand extra ammo are key
