Vehicle warfare question

I have played PR for a good 3 years now but I dont think ive ever played a single round of Vehicle warfare before. This has made me very curious so I have some questions about the gamemode.

What types of vehicles are in it? im assuming its full on with dozens of Tanks, APCs, AAVs, Recon helicopters, CAS, Warthogs, Air superiority fighters etc. Sort of like Kashan but with 3 times as many vehicles.

Why does no one play it? Does CAS dominate or are people not ready for full blown Mechanized warfare?

Is there any infantry? Is there a small amount of infantry allowed? like a few HATs or Engineers etc?

Finally is it like the gulf war? im imagining its something like the Persian gulf war which sounds really cool, is it anything like what i have in mind:

Im pretty sure theres only tanks on vehicle warfare mode, maybe apcs (like bmp3 etc). Also i'm pretty sure theres no INF kits just crewmans

It's only armor allowed(mainly tanks, but on few maps also IFVs). Allowed kits are crewman, and I think officer, no infantry afaik. It isn't played, because when there is so many armor on the battlefield, the one that moves gets always destroyed, which resulted in camping without any engagement.

Although there is VW layer of The Falklands, which is concentrating on air assets, which is very good, but if there is too many players on server, there is quite a mess on the airfield/carrier.

had some really incredible rounds on vw falklands. can't say enough good about it, was too much fun. hope it makes a return.

Why only Armour? Aircraft would break the stalemate. Falklands sounds cool BTW.

IMO the current vehicle warfare game mode needs a serious overhaul as it currently doesn't work and isn't worth playing, which is why you very rarely see it being played. But in its current state as others have said, its just lots of tanks which when killed, don't cost tickets, fighting over a few flags..

Ye even thou I made it, the Falklands VW layer is the only one which has really worked gameplay wise, although could do with a few tweaks on top, but it was also a really good seeder map I found too

I agree that the Falklands vehicle warfare map is the only vw map that kinda works.
Even when there has been events themed with vehicle warfare it makes for a epic first encounter, and then it turns into 1 vs 1 camping warfare and constant driving from the main to the fight.

If everyone would be playing very aggressively it would be quite fun, but people play it the same way the play AAS trying to sneak around and get some stealth kills not caring about the actual flag in play.

Only purpose for vehicle warfare at the moment is training your tanking skills.

Vehicle warfare is fun IMO.

You can learn things about people.

But it's just Moszeusz said... If you move, you die.



I remember some hot moments on the VW mode though! XD
Me and my buddy, i haven't heard from him in YEARS... we decided to get nasty, so we flanked the whole enemy team from behind on Black Gold. Killed 85% of the enemy Team.

You've got indestructible AA weapons, use them.

Besides most servers don't allow it.

hehehe, yeah....

But, I love the mode, it's even more intense when you got friendlies that don't know where the runway for the Argentina Forces is.


Honestly, who ever made the VW mode, I wanna bow to them.
