Hopefully someone with good performance can post theirs.

I've noticed that the maps being played makes a huge difference. On 4k maps I get twice the fps as 2k maps (40 on 4k maps 20 on 2k maps). On 1k maps I get 1/2 the fps as 2k maps (10 on 1k maps, 20 on 2k maps).

Java Version 7 update 25 (build 1.7.0_25-b17). PR runs worse than ARMA III.

Version 7 Update 25 build 17

No unusual issues anymore with the recent updates barring normal optimisation problems with a couple of maps (Dovre).

Recommend everyone make sure they're up to date.

iwingi, how is your game running? I don't think you mentioned it, at least not recently with this Java talk.

Re: Major Performance Issues

My game is still running shit, although I had been talking to several people ingame which had been having rubber-banding issues and other CTD issues. Most of them pointed to using a certain Java version which solved all the issues. I'm also wondering wtf it could have to do with anything. Some said that Python was related to Java or something like that. Point still stands that Java updates and such fix certain issues for people. Thus why I wanted to see if there would be a pattern that would arise with everyone posting their Java versions. Sadly, I have yet to see one. Anymore Ideas?

I updated my Java to the newest version and I'm still having terrible performance. Doesn't seem to be the problem here.

How about some of you could post your PC specs? Old computer, current computer doesn't cut it.

Most of us have posted our specs before.

I suppose they could be posted again.

But we certainly shouldn't have to deal with the attitude you're giving us.

What's Java got to do with anything? Isn't the game/mod written entirely in Python/C/C++?

Having played some more here on an upgraded CPU/Mobo/Memory, I don't seem to have problems anymore, just some FPS issues with a few maps that seem a bit GPU heavy (but my graphics card is ancient, so...).

I have to wonder why the devs are so silent here though. Is it because they just don't know what the issue might be, or could it be that they do know but are just not prepared to make the necessary changes as the culprit/s is/are considered too important a part of the v1.0 release. I'd still be interested to hear why it is load times increased so much between the versions (0.981 vs 1.0*). FWIW, I suspect the latter.

I'm not a dev, but I can assure you that if/when the culprit(s) are found, the devs will rectify the game and optimize the performance as much as possible... They're nice like that ^_^ There's no need for conspiracy theories about them withholding/ignoring the issues...

I was referring to the last two guys whose comments stated that they don't have any problems.

Also waiting to hear more responses from the devs in regards to this. I know you guys worked to the bone on 1.0 and it is much appreciated. Seriously, I don't remember the last time I was so involved with a mod that delivers so much. I am just very hopeful to be updated on possible changes that will allow for performances that were close to pre 1.0 versions. I know that everyone is not fortunate to be able to upgrade, but I want to be able to make plans for possible upgrades to my system if need be. Looking forward to positive feedback on the situation. Thanks devs!

Quad core, 2GB GPU, 6GB RAM PC:
0.98 - 40-60FPS, all maxed out with SSAO and ENB.
1.0 - 20-30FPS, maxed out without SSAO and ENB.

MacBook Pro 13' 2011
0.98 - 24-40FPS, all maxed out
1.0 - 15-20FPS, all maxed out and 18-25FPS on medium settings.

Maps like Fallujah are unplayable for me on laptop. I could run final stages of beta with tiny or no performance drop compared to 0.98. It would be nice if devs could fix that.

v1.0.37 has some performance improvements on Dovre. Once it's out, let us know if it's any better.

Really hate not being able to play with anti-aliasing and good res. With AA of sights on some rifles dissappear. With bad res iron sights at any range is impossible.

Wonder if BUIS system may be related do notice lag spikes when I switch between modes.
