so i can load PR and join a server and play with no issues.
however if I disconnect from a server and then try to join another one it freezes on the "joining server" message and does nothing. to fix I have to restart my computer. Merely restarting PR dosent fix the issue
did a search and didnt see anyone else reporting the problem - any ideas? presume its some sort of cache problem ?
thanks in advance

Re: strange connection issue
Does it do the same if you disconnect from an online match then start a local server?
How about if you disconnect from a round, then restart PR, then try to join another?

Re: strange connection issue
ok so ive reinstalled PR and get the same problem. A local server starts fine as you would expect, but Im still getting stuck on the "joining server" screen after I have succesfully played on a server and then disconnected
restarting PR dosent work (i have to restart the machine)
I tried manually clearing the cache etc via the launch screen before restarting PR but it didnt fix the issue.
any suggestions greatly received !

Re: strange connection issue
I have no idea what's going on here.
What antivirus do you have?
OK, you start prlauncher, login, join server, leave server, and can not rejoin a new server. you then shutdown PR.
Can you restart PRlauncher? Can you restart PR, can you then login again, but not join a server?
Maybe a port forwarding issue?

For in game server browser:
16567 is the standard connect port.
29900 is the standard query port.
You have to make sure those are getting to/from your PC.

many thanks for the reply
so the order of events is:
1. start desktop
2. launch PR - via the launcher etc
3. join server
4. play game. If the round ends and the server goes on to the next map everything is fine and I can carry on playing
5. disconnect from server
6. attempt to join another internet server (i can launch a local game fine).
7. get stuck on "joining server" screen
8. I can exit PR back to desktop and relaunch PR via the launcher and still wont be able to join an internet server (again I can start a local game fine).
9. restart desktop
10. launch PR via launcher and can join any internet server (including one I couldnt join jsut before I restarted the desktop).
will try looking at the ports, thanks for the suggestion.
One additional piece of info (not sure if relevant) but on one occassion when it wouldnt let me join a server it was asking for a password (ie as if the server was password protected), even though the server wasnt actually password protected (ie when I restarted my desktop i could join the server without a password even though it had asked me for one 2 minutes earlier).
Im running the standard windows firewall plus the free virus programme that comes with Virgin Media - I will try turning that off and see if it makes a difference.
thanks again for your help.
