Techincal difficulties, as always, in the worst case, we will play on PRTA #1 and it will be announced here.

Yup, that's it. Thanks for reminding me how unstable this game is.

It was riddled with behind the scenes and technical problems. Next time, you can expect more organization from our part, and hopefully no crash.
Thanks everybody for attending, hope to see you next time!

I find it funny that CIA and now PRTA are hosting 1 Life events after some players commented on how much more thrilling the game-play of such an event can be due to actually being afraid of dying. This after a few Survival Games Events were organized.
However, you should always expect Disconnects and CTD's or other possible issues and not allowing such players to come back is a bad move, specially when you're running it as a open server that anyone can join. I have no idea how you're controlling the game-play that way.
In SGE we have a script logging everything which allows for the admin to verify if someone was actually killed before he disconnected, to be able to decide if he should be given a second change or not. That certainly comes in handy.

I find it even funnier how these events are inspired by Wiccas One-Life event, about 2+ years back, hosted by PRTA.
(And missions from OFP, ArmA and Arma 2 and ArmA 3.
)
Well, PRTA doesnt have that script, but if we would, it would be better, until then, we must play rough. (And dont panic, i havent "survived" any of the events. Either server crash or IP switch.) :/
