Chechen war maps?

Just wondering if devs would like an idea of Chechen-war based maps (Urban and woodland maps).

Just re-name Militia faction to Chechen rebels and, heh, map a new map?

I'm guessing you're fairly new to PR because the woodland version of Militia actually used to be called Chechen Rebels... and Assault on Mestia, Fools Road, and Dragon Fly (and I think Kozelsk too) were all based on the Chechen War.

AF, I am pretty sure none of those are based off of Chechnya. The maps themselves had backstories in the past and IIRC it was all about Georgia.

They werent renamed into Chechens till the ruskies showed up.

The maps above, along with siege at Ochamchira all used to be populated by the Chechenya faction, they were renamed to be more universally used in more maps and across more conflicts. See Black Gold.

Kozelsk was most definitely based off the Chechnya faction

No militia map in PR is in Checheyna (although there's one on the way)
Mesta,Dragon Fly, Fools Road and Ochamchira: Georgia
Iron Ridge: Ukraine
Shikotan Island, Barentz Invasion and Kozelsk: Russia
Black Gold: Manchuria

Ye none of the maps or even the militia faction are directly based on the Chechen war/rebels, but they have been influenced by it/them as well as other factions. All the maps are fictional (including the ones with r/l place names), as is the faction.

Any ways not sure why this topic has been approved but if you want maps on an area or conflict, you should look into making them yourself as any current mappers are busy with their own projects as it is so the only real way that anything like this is going to happen, is if you make it yourself: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f189-mo ... rs-up.html
