Hi all, I'm running PR on a laptop at the moment. Not the most powerful machine but it seems that no matter what setting (low, medium or high) I put the graphical options, the game always ends up playing on the lowest settings. The resolution does apply properly though.
I've tried deleting the BF2 cache and modifying the video settings directly using the notepad on Video.con to no effect. The game still displays everything on low. I don't expect to play with everything on high on this rig but I'd like to bump up the textures at least.
Thanks !
Here is my system info:

Re: Graphical settings stuck on low ( will not scale up when put on high)
I'm not certain you can expect any better graphics to work with that A4 APU.
write down your BF2 username and password,
You can delete theC:\Users\Amael Kotlarski\Documents\ProjectReality directory
start PRLauncher
the profile import routine will start, do NOT import your vanilla BF2 profile, instead chose the "retrieve from GameSpy" option, type in username and password.
This will create a brand new Profile.
With this new profile, you should be able to open PRLauncher->Options
Graphics Tab and
Video Tab,
and change the settings to test what's optimal for your notebook.

Re: Graphical settings stuck on low ( will not scale up when put on high)
Thanks for the reply. I tried it and it doesn't seem to work. It seems the engine simply refuses to up-scale. I've tried playing with my Catalyst Control settings to no avail either.

The same is happening with me, but here simply does not show the "HIGH" option to choose on the Texture settings, only Medium and Low...,
