Blew up cache with grenade?

Uhhh.. I was just playing Karbala, threw a grenade at the cache as an insurgent because the enemies were around it. I got a team vehicle damage warning, lost all my points, and got a 5 minute respawn but the message saying I was shot as a traitor did not come up and I was not instantly killed.

it does damage. but very very very less.
not a bug.
