BF2 editor weirdness.

Hello all, i have just finished installing the BF2 editor. although when i start it up it tells me (after i have selected the 'Pr_edit' option) that i must install DX9c. I have installed it (twice) and it stills comes up with that error message, not to mention the fact that when i do open the editor up i can see no 'mods' tab on the toolbar...

Can anyone help me with this? RAF.
