Emplacement count incorrect - minor issue

Description:

The PR manual 1.0 describes that you can place 12 AA emplacements and 24 HMG emplacements, but in reality you can only place 6 AA and 12 HMG because each team only can build 6 FOB's

  1. Build 1 FOB
  2. Attempt to place 3 HMG Emplacement's at 1 FOB >200m apart near 2 crate or.
  3. Attempt to place 2 AA Emplacement's at 1 FOB >200m apart near 2 crates
  4. Error: You reached the maximum number allowed per FORWARD OUTPOST
Suggestion for a fix:

Correct the manual to state max 12 HMG and 6 AA emplacement per team or correct the game to 4 HMG's per FOB and 2 AA emplacements per FOB.

ps. The manual also incorrectly state "The team can have up to 2 mortar positions at the same time" when in reality it is 3 :)

You can build up to 10 HMG per FOB and up to 5 AA/TOWs, when you are placing it in circle 200m away from FOB, so it's correct.

Huh! ???

One of the criteria's is that the asset is built no more than 200m away from a fob. I don't get it.

Ive tried to build 2 AA emplacements 350m apart but both within 200m of the fob.... I get the "You reached the maximum number allowed per FORWARD OUTPOST" warning.

After having a look at the Python code I think I spotted the issue.

Each team is allowed to build max 6 FOB's

You can build a mix of Razorwire and Foxholes around a fob at a max sum of 10 (example 7 foxholes + 3 razorwire)

Maximum on the map is 100 which is then limited by the 6 fobs and make it actually 60

You can build max 1 HAT near a FOB , and max 3 HAT's on a map.


The way I can see this works is that the "MAX Asset" looks for a fob + Assets of the same type in the area and then checks if it has reached the max limit or not.

If for example [ASSET_MAX_HEAVY_DEFENSES'] is bumped up to 3 then you can place 3 HAT's side by side at one fob and that is not what is intended.

A change is needed in the way "C['ASSET_MAX_MEDIUM_DEFENSES']" = 1 and "C['ASSET_MAX_LIGHT_DEFENSES'] = 2" is being calculated with relation to the max allowed per FOB

Now call me crazy if you still thinks it is working as intended [R-DEV]Moszeusz6Pl :D and maybe educate me on what I'm doing wrong.

You still can place 24 HMG, if your FOB was destroyed and HMGs not :D

But yeah, something is wrong, added it to our bug tracking tool.

You have to put them 175-200m away from the fob in one direction and then the other 175-200m in the other direction.

I think you can build more AAs and more TOWs if you are playing the CnC gamemode...

I tryed that out a while ago. even if you blow up a fob that already have assets and build a new fob, the count remembers the old fob assets and your still limited to 6 AA's 12 HMG's and so on.

Your right you can build twice the amount of assets at the one FOB you can build.

Currently this would mean 2 tow's 2 AA's 4 HMG's and 20 foxholes or Wires and 3 Mortars.
