I've been running PR off a digital copy of BF2 created from a disk copy for years. My father converted the disk copy to digital and I wasn't present for it, so I'm not sure how he did it or if that has anything to do with my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated and save me from buying a new copy off Steam if it isn't necessary. Thanks.

Error 7
I copy pasted BF2 and PR from my old computer (xp) to my new computer (Win
and I can't seem to get it to work. BF2 will run properly, but when I activate the PR launcher it refuses to recognize BF2. Instead it says "Error 7: Unable to find Battlefield 2 installation. Please make sure Battlefield 2 is installed and installation has been finalized." I know this is operator error, but I don't know what I've missed. I pulled the Project Reality folder, my EA Games folder(Program Files), and Mumble (Docs and settings/user/App Data.) Are there any files I may have missed from my old computer?

Re: Error 7
Probably some registry problem? I suggest re installing it with the actual install CD/whatever for BF2 and using the install ISO for PR. Copy pasting is never a good idea and should always be avoided and will usually not work.

Figured it might be something along those lines. I just had the idea because I've copy-pasted IL-2 1946 before with success. Due to no longer having the CDs, it's off to Steam with me. Thank's a lot for the swift reply![R-CON]Mineral wrote:Probably some registry problem? I suggest re installing it with the actual install CD/whatever for BF2 and using the install ISO for PR.
