No sound whatsoever.

Post by Moskvin28 »

This issue has only started today. It has come to my attention that, while every other application on my computer has sound, Project Reality itself has no sound whatsoever.

I enter the main menu. No Music. No sounds play as I highlight the options. Nothing can be heard in-game even, save for mumble which is working perfectly fine.

I have tried restarting my computer, re-installing PR, running PR as Admin, and playing with audio devices.

Please help, this has left PR unplayable for me.

... Sorry to say this, but have you tried unplugging and reinserting your USB speakers/headset?

Start PR, join a online server, alt tab to desktop, open the PRMumble program,
PRMumble->COnfigure-Settings-Audio Output->In the top interface box, make sure the Exclusivity tickbox is NOT ticked. If you need to unitck it, make sure to click APPLY to save changes.

I think you should try this in the Audio tab of PRLauncher:

Audio Provider: Software
Provider Valid: True
Audio Quality: Low
EAX: False

Click Apply, and test.
