[Help] BF2 Editor

Post by Warfighter »

I am using the editor, and when i try to move objects, rather than them moving in real time, they don't change position until after i complete the action.

Example, when i used to move a house, i could drag it around and see where its going to be in real time. Now when i try to move a house, i have to move the object handler, release it, grab and move it, release it, and keep doing that. How would i fix this?

Im on Win7 64bit and on my old HHD i could do it just fine. Now it behaves weirdly like described above.

I know its a stupid solution, but run photoshop at the same time and it'll work in real time

Also try holding shift and arrow keys, speed of movement will depend on the movement speed you have set eith he mousewheel

Using the arrow keys doesn't really help when I'm trying to move objects across the map. Although for small changes that works great.

I'll download photoshop lol and see if that works.

you dont need to run photoshop at the same time , atleast for me, you only have to run it and open a file then you can close it and open the editor and it will work

Dont even need to open a file. Just opening PS and closing it seems to do the trick

It has something to do with the graphics rendering engine of Photoshop and Windows 7 and Bf2 Editor... I've narrowed it down to that point xD but apart from that I can't find the issue :/

I've never had the problem but I think its due to me always dragging the tweaker bar to be under the resources bar and then dragging them out just as the editor starts :)

Anyone ever find this file? This is one of the most annoying bugs for the editor. And I dont own photoshop... I have GIMP but that doesnt seem to do the trick...

Is there a free photoshop that does the same thing without requiring my monies?

Do you still get it with the improved ram bf2 editor?

Yes it's a windows 7 error. There are methods of getting Photoshop Okita, that's all I can say... But you could try using the demo version of elements or other PS version. Should work :)

Not sure Id seen that, Ill look for it. Link me, please, if you happen to know it. Been out of editor for a minute so not as spun up as I once was ;)

I found an unsupported but downloadable CS2 that I am checking out. Hopefully it installs and at least provides me with the file on startup that I need :)

Thanks for the quick responses gents

Try just moving the tweaker bar under the recourse bar and that dose it for me, which I do every time anyways when loading up since the editor never saves it underneath and its a far better way to view and tweak objects.

Free Adobe Photoshop CS2 didnt work... Ill have to figure it out. editor fix exe doesnt do it either.

I know to get it to not crash you just disable particles. Always worked for me 99% of the time. But I still cant see when I move things until I let go....
