Come on guys, when do you want to release Project Normandy?
At least, release previous version on new PR and then upgrade it through updater later.

It's not ready yet, it's still being worked on by various community modders (it's not a PR team effort). I doubt the previous version works on PR v1.0 and even if it does, we're not going to re-release that so we have something in the mean time. No, we'd rather wait until the new version is done and release that instead.

Also, as long as it's not an official add-on, you won't be able to use the launcher to update it. So if it stays that way, it's all the more important to release something stable.

thanks for quick response.

so it is more complicated than what I think.
you mean it will be released in a same way that PR v1 was released?
I mean it will be a .iso file that we can download and install it and will be independent from PR v1 ( will be installed on battlefield 2 v 1.5 ) ?
oh god, I hope its size will not be as big as PR v1 .
when will it be released approximately?
will it be released before 2014?

I appreciate your all efforts.

It's probably going to be release via updater, as it is the most viable way, and I don't think AD would be crazy enough to give up the advantages given by the updater.

So far, our repo have 8gb, but we're working on removing unnecessary things, such as unused statics, or low-quality statics, not to mention the fact that the maps are actually "double" because they're unzipped, so the final thing will have about 1~2gb less than now, but still too much.

No idea. Still a lot of work to be done, plus what bugs come up, then when we are testing, what fixes need to be applied, and when they are done is up to the dev, who has a life outside of it. Not to mention AD works with PR, and dutch forces, I work with Syrian and Polish Comfac, Arc works with Syrian comfac, Rodi works with PR and Syrian comfac (maybe others I don't know about), CT Rifle is helping out with falklands, and quite a few comfacs, lucky.boy is working with quite a lot of other people too. I wouldn't expect it in 2013 if I were you.

Well, the repo was 8GB and most of that was all history. We had to re-upload it as Google didn't increase our storage (the wait took too long for my liking).

The zipped up content is around 550MB at this moment plus around 175MB of levels, so all in all not that bad :) .

I have a suggestion and a doubt ..

suggestion

As the name was changed to better PR N to Project Reality: World War II. the name of this topic could not be changed .. for nme current Project Reality: World War II.

Doubt.

The new game will start from the invasion of Normandy and showing major battles in Europe (front west and east).

Or will also retract the battles of North Africa & Italy (1940-1943) pre-invasion of Normandy
This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning
