Re: [List] General tales of PR idiocy
Today i was playing most pointless round ever. Jabal Al Burj, NWA UK, USMC.
- No one in my sq has mics.
- Shit starts happening when i spawned at fb and seeing some marine stabbing 2 teammates and then turns to me and run while pointing his bayonet at me. I gave him a rest and quickly leave crime scene . But after he respawns i saw about 4 another teamkill messages and decided to report to admins. But nothing happens (no kick\ban) and that guy ("Swe MetalPsycho", something like this) said that he was teamswitched, and he will kill every teammate he meets, until he will be teamswitched again.
- Later on me and my SL at south bridge. We found out that our sq-mate following us as LAV driver. Without gunner. And i'm sure he was without gunner since he leaves carrier. Then he made some "beep-beep" and drive away to Dam. Then he comes back and SL entering LAV as a gunner. Then i heard, that BMP(with ATGM) approaching to Dam from N and tell that to SQ, but they didnt listening and moved to Dam too. And when they meets BMP at the Dam east entrance , they turned left and tried to run away to West Beach but fortunately Dam was mined and they blowed up and round ends.

Re: [List] General tales of PR idiocy
Was playing Qwai River. Playing as china. I grab a spotter and the sniper kit and we head to the south river crossing to provide cover to our advancing troops. I had asked my spotter if he knew what he was doing, "yes" came the reply. Alarm bells started to ring when I made him squad leader and started asking for attack markers to identify enemy among Blues. The markers where no where close even tho he was looking right at them. The targets were few so it wasnt too bad and we got a few kills. I presumed he was using the map to spot. We then moved north west and got right up in the western hills above our final flag at the edge of the out of bounds. Perfect spot as our team had been pushed back and their was a massive battle going on bellow us. Gun battles were raging bellow us and it was so far away I couldnt make out 100% without using my map who was friend or foe. A good spotter in a crowded battlefield should Spot with an attack marker, check his map, then give the ok to shoot. By that time im ready for my shot. He mumbled, I repeatidly checked my map, lost targets, he mumbled something again and put a marker on the flag miles from anyone. Stands up every few minutes and fires at nothing.
Probably the best situation Ive been in as a sniper and a decent spotter would have doubled my kills easily. It was a turkey shoot
Then to cap it all off. The enemy was attacking the flag bellow us and being no use as a spotter I asked him to watch the eastern approach as I shoot. 5mins later I am knifed. I say "thought you was watching my back. The reply came, "I am watching west.............oh I just got knifed" He was sitting looking straight into the out of bounds which was only a few metres away, while the battle was going off to our east.

Lol, wow. On UKWF:
Well, i was gunning the T62 on Dragonfly. We hid in one of my good places(sorry, won't tell, won't be secret anymore if i do that
) Over the river, i see 2 challangers, moving on the road. I pop 2 AP's in the rear Challanger, but it manages to pop smoke before dieing. The first challanger, stops, looks around then turns around. His gunner, scanning the rear and sides, finally spots my tank. He fires one round but misses since he was still moving. I mannage one rear shot. Suddenly, the tank stops and a person gets out(idk who, either the gunner or driver). I MG the person he dies then kaput second challanger.
On Basra, me in Gary, trying to kill tank. A bomb car gets in front of me but is shot by the suddenly appearing HMG from the tank. Bombcar explodes about 3 m from challanger, killing the HMG. The tank sees me, and for some reason starts to back up(i was at over 300m from him). The tank backs up until it finds itself in the river, where it dies without me having to literally use the gary.

For Myself, on Chicago accidently killing a G-Wagon full of the server admins with a HAT. I was so shamed to stay on the server.
For others, seeing someone on russian side, Beirut with a AA kit.

Re: [List] General tales of PR idiocy
I've had my share of encounters with idiots, but I always try to repress those memories (
).
But the tone thing that pisses me off the most is when everybody in a team doesn't even bother with looking up what the other squads are doing and what squads are up. For example, I played a round on Jabal where we had about three APC squads, with all of them waiting in main for the vehicles to spawn, and the rest of the team were distributed into a bunch of small inf squads with no coordination whatsoever. End result - almost half the team sitting in the main and the rest being overrrun by a enemy team that is functional.
And that's just one example of that. One or two idiots in the team is something you can deal with, but when everyone got their head up their asses it's a different story...

I hate idiots on this game, like a Huey pilot I encountered, me and my squad were trying to get a ride from the carrier, when suddenly a Huey spun around and took out one of my squad members with the tail,so the rest of my squad and me opened up on the heli, killing the pilot, then again on the same server and game,a heli landed near one of my squadmates randomly, and landed too hard to be non-lethal,to which I simply just sprayed the pilot,if you think im a noob for doing it I dont blame you.

On insurgency-
An APC driver goes off road to avoid a spotted mine, only to run over another clearly visable mine
Or when you joke about placing you're Artillery IED on the road in E3kp2, and then 2 minutes later a full troop truck drives right over it
Those are just a few funny idiots i like to acknowlage =)

I think my general tale of idiocy would have to be huey pilots who land you on top of warehouse roofs on Muttrah, when you ask them not to.

This, and the same thing with most other tall buildings with no way to get down/one ladder. Transport trucks taking you directly to the heat of battle are another fairly common annoyance.Scr3amX2 wrote:Oh the irony.

Re: [List] General tales of PR idiocy
Today my SQL kicked me out to make room for friends...I have no clue how many, the squad was 6/8 full before and after I was kicked. Naturally there were no other inf squads with room, so I was basically a lone wolf.
Being the asshat I tend to be in situations like this one (where I'm completely screwed and I know it, but my persistent side doesn't let me back out without a fight) I mosey'd on down to the docks (playing as MEC on Muttrah) cursing over local. Eventually I spotted a US Autorifleman and he fired a tentative burst at me; I hipfired and shouted things like "F*ckin' shoot me already!" and "Do you even aim?!" etc. Eventually I had a tangle with the AAV and got a direct hit with my UGL before it cleaned my clock. I kindly thanked it and disconnected.
The moral of the story: N/A but it felt good to vent

You know how the "240" on the compass reads as "260"? Well one time my tank driver was almost screaming at me about enemy infantry bearing 260 degrees prepping to take us out. I zoomed in and scanned 240 degrees so confused about what he was talking about. I realized my mistake, felt stupid, then blew some Russians sky high. Rookie mistake.

In General, Bad squad leaders. You have NO squads building FOBs, or if they DO build a FOB they camp it the entire round even when it is no longer relevant. Also in terms of AAS, squads are not communicating enough or planning. It is very common for No one to stay and defend a flag, everyone just rushes. Then the enemy send in a squad, cap your defend flag, and steamroll. When the team does advance well, and you need more people on the forward flags you never get them. Everyone moves soooo slowly that it is just pathetic, and I blame overly cautious SLs for that.

Re: [List] General tales of PR idiocy
I think you are a TKer. Don't do that it is against the rules on all servers and will get you banned for good. Two wrongs don't make a right. AND speaking of helis, one more thing I hate ... When I am flying and people spawn at base and ask me to fly them in right next to a spawnable FOB. I also do not like flying just 1 person into the battlefield due to the risk of losing a chopper over one guy, but will do it if it is safe. The one thing that really drives me crazy though, is if you ask me to fly you somewhere that is kinda hot with enemy, or on uneven terrain so I have to hover and YOU DONT GET OUT OF THE CHOPPER. You take way too long to get out of the chopper because you have your finger up your nose and you are stupid. I am risking the teams heli for you, and you don't get out of the hovering big target known as a heli I'm pissed. I've actually heard people say NO I'm not getting out lol ... listen broseph you ARE getting out, you asked to go here, and your 1 ticket is not worth this heli hovering here with AA lock and flares flying around. Keep in mind that the above statement im not talking about really stupid LZs that are like right in the middle of enemy, I wouldn't ever fly into that, I mean dangerous like the enemy is somewhat near by, within AA, TOW, HAT, MG distance so get out fast. Rant over.Trooper22 wrote:I hate idiots on this game, like a Huey pilot I encountered, me and my squad were trying to get a ride from the carrier, when suddenly a Huey spun around and took out one of my squad members with the tail,so the rest of my squad and me opened up on the heli, killing the pilot, then again on the same server and game,a heli landed near one of my squadmates randomly, and landed too hard to be non-lethal,to which I simply just sprayed the pilot,if you think im a noob for doing it I dont blame you.

Re: [List] General tales of PR idiocy
I can relate to what you're saying Smurf. In order to keep your chopper and your passengers healthy speed and efficiency is key. Ontop of what you said, I find it frustrating when squadleaders request transport from the battlefield and they can't tell me where they want to go. Here's a senario for you.
*SL7 using radio and calls for transport, he's located by our current defending flag*, I respond on mumble.
(Me): Hey SQ7, I'll send a chopper to come get you. Where do you need to go?
(SL7): Bring a crate, we need to build a FOB. And hurry!
*I'll send one of my guys towards his location*
(Me): I'll hurry, where is it you want to be dropped?
(SL7): I SAID WE'RE GONNA BUILD A FOB, JUST COME AND PICK US UP, I'LL TELL YOU.
(Me): I need to know exactly where you wanna be dropped so I can tell my guy.
*My guy arrives at SQ7 and they'll take about 15s to take their seats in the chopper*
(SL7): Finally, now take us to Foxtrot 7 keypad 2 and don't forget that crate.
*I quickly look at my map and see that the area is very hot and enemy armor was just reported nearby*
(Me): I'm sorry SL7, that area is way too hot atm. I'll get you back to main so you can decide on another place.
(SL7): WHAAAT? NO, I SAID FOXTROT 7 KEYPAD 2.
*I tell my guy to fly them back to main*
*SQ7 arrives at main and now proceeds to convince the rest of the team, and sometimes the other team aswell in all chat how incompetent the transsquad is and how noobs shouldn't be allowed to fly etc*
Anyone who has experience of helitransport knows that this is a fairytale senario, in 4 times out of 5 the transchopper and SQ7 would most likely end up dead. My point here is that the little piece of information (the drop off location) is vital to know asap since pulling up the map, deciding if the drop off spot is safe or even legitimate, deciding on a safe route, coordinate my fellow pilots and tell them the mission, set marker etc takes time. If all this could be done before the chopper leaves main the chances of success are tremendously higher than if the pilot is supposed to do all this mid flight. It all sums up in what I said in the start of the post - speed and efficiency is key.
Now, I don't say this happens often but it does happen. When this happen I usually just give the "Negative" on the request if I'm not given all the info I need, the bashing usually follows anyways ie "Why have a transsquad when they don't do transport". Life of the transpilots can be rough.
Lesson to take from this: If your squad needs transport, make sure to 1. Tell the pilot where you want to go right away, 2. Be ready to jump onboard as soon as the chopper arrives.

Squadleaders, who talk in SL-chat (*) wayyyyy too much. Normally I like being a Squadleader, however those guys just ruin the game for me. And the best thing is, if you mute mumble because u want to organize your squad just ONCE (in teamspeak) they report you instantly for not responding in mumble...
So you verbally incontinent Squadleaders out there: USE YOUR RADIO and don't use mumble for every sh*t!
Sorry for my rant, but that had to be said.
