Hey guys.
Since the latest update for PR, it is lagging although i play on medium/low settings.
Thats really annoying. Mumble is running when I play, and often Skype too.
Has anyone the same problem? Or did you solved it? If you did, please tell me what to do.
Here my system:
Win7
8GB Ram
nvidia geforce gtx660m
intel core i5-3210
Ok, thats it.
If u have any hints to reduce lagging say them too.

Now when you mention "lagging" I suppose you actually mean low or stuttering frame-rate?
In the case that you are actually lagging as in server lag it's often related to people using a wireless connection.
Many people have reported low frame-rates in 1.0 and apparently it is mostly because of the new effects and the amount of detail that have been added along with the low settings being unavailable and replaced by medium settings.
Another problem is that BF2 is only using 1 thread so multi-threaded cpu's don't work optimal.
As far as I know it is not very easy to overclock the intel core i5-3210 and if you have any warranty it will be forfeit, so it is not recommended for a regular user.
All i can think of is to shutdown any process that you don't need when playing PR and try to run PR as high priority. I personally think that Skype is poorly optimized and tend to interfere a lot with other programs, so id recommend you give it a low priority or shut that down completely and see if that helps.

Re: PR is lagging although i have a good PC.
When you say "Lag" do you mean Online-Lag or Framrate drops?
If you meant FPS drops: PR needs alot more power than BF2 and cant use all resources from a new system. Additional 1.0 needs more power and especially some Maps needs optmizing. I got AMD X4 955 and a ATI 6870 and have like 10 fps on Maps like Fallujha or Dovre if i look at a certain direction. Use Fraps or Mumble overlay to check you FPS so you can give us more information.
Other peole with performance problems posted their Specs in this Thread: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f26-pr ... ssues.html
btw. The PR launcher allows you to copy&paste your whole system specifications

Tanks for the fast replies!
I mean the stutterinf frame-rate.
So, now i tested it with fraps. When i play on medium graphic qualities nad 4x anti-alaising
I get around 25 fps, sometimes less amd sometimes more.
When I will run it on a high priotity in the task-manager, it keeps saying: Acces denied...

When your on the "processes" tab you need to click the "show processes from all users" button at the bottom.MilkAndCake wrote:When I will run it on a high priotity in the task-manager, it keeps saying: Acces denied...

You should try this:
'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;1950343']1. Defrag the drive that has BF2 and PR installed.
PR has some very large compressed files, if they get fragmented it can cause this problem.
2. To go even further, make sure your pagefile is not fragmented.
Use a third party defrag program to do this.
5. Use DriverFusion by Treexy to completely uninstall your GPU drivers, then download new drives from Nvidia or AMD.
Driver Fusion - The Complete Device And Driver Solution
6. Use ProcessLasso Free Process Lasso - Automate and optimize process priorities, CPU affinities, power profiles, and more! to give the PRBF2.exe file a high priority and put it into gaming mode.
-- Start PR, JOIN AN ONLINE SERVER, alt tab to desktop, open ProcessLAsso window, right click on PRBF2.exe, PRLauncher.exe, and PRMumble.exe and pnkbstra.exe and pnkbstrB.exe and give them default priority status of High, set the PRBF2.exe to gaming mode, and give them high or higher access to RAM.
Unpark your CPU Cores in ProcessLasso->Options->Configure CPU Core Parking->UNpark your cores.

and turn off all the windows UI stuff, like windows shadows, mouse shadows, maximize windows animation, etc.
Also try Razer GameBooster Razer Game Booster Free Download, Speed Up PC for Top Gaming Performance to shutdown unneeded background processes.

Re: PR is lagging although i have a good PC.
Is it Win 7 64-bit ? (Since 8 GB I expect so)
And you know your specs should run PR on maximum settings in Full HD ? (GTX 660 is great, 8 GB too, and an i5 is nice! )
If you had no lag before .36 version, maybe your CPU is overloaded with background programs)

One thing I have found is that running anything other than default settings in my GPU control panel turns PR into total dogshit. Make sure you aren't forcing supersampling, morphological filters, etc.
