They can be LMed in max just fine, a little tricky, mainly with sorting out the dummy wreck LMs manually after but the main lods can be LMed just fine.[R-DEV]Amok@ndy wrote:maybe shoot pleym or AF a PM, if i remember right i have always done the house_dest in the editor cause they dont work well in 3ds

My guess is the naming on them is screwed up so it can't find the lod0 mesh and as such, is hiding all the meshes as it thinks they are all other lods?

mmm, rhino's comment made me find the issue.
For some reason, for the objects it didn't read their lod0 were never imported. I have no clue why this happened. I simply imported the entire staticobjects.con file . No special things. why was it fine for half of the objects?

just make a new .max file and start over. Had the same issue where it would just see the LOD's other than LOD 0. Reimporting didn't fix it as it just reimported the other lods again. Made a new Max file. Started again and it works fine.

Unfortunately that's the only way I figured out to get around that issue. Most likely something went wrong when you first imported it. Just try dividing up the map into different parts and rendering them in stages. That way you aren't stressing your computer and less issues will be prone to arising.

yeah that could work. Although merging scenes loses the hierarchy doesn't it?

not if you import the entire hierarchy of the object so nothing is connecting to anything outside of the merge.[R-CON]Mineral wrote:yeah that could work. Although merging scenes loses the hierarchy doesn't it?
