This would be medium-high for example:

I'm curious why you decided that the effects should be on high? In my experience the effects is one of the worst fps killers of PR 1.0. If your system has enough RAM I would go for High texture and Geometry and set the effects on low instead.SShadowFox wrote:"Low"-Medium settings: (although "Medium-High" would fit better)
Terrain - "Low"
Effects - High
Geometry - "Low"
Textures - Medium
Lighting - "Low"
Dynamic Shadows - Low
Dynamic Light - Low
Texture Filtering - Low
View Distance: 100%
Effects should always be set on HIGH so you can see explosions from distance.Gracler wrote:I'm curious why you decided that the effects should be on high? Btw im running everything on high except effects, which are medium.
Code: Select all
VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 2
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 2
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 2
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 0
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 0
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 3
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 1
VideoSettings.setResolution 1366x768@60Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing Off
VideoSettings.setViewDistanceScale 1
VideoSettings.setVideoOptionScheme 3That is a very good point. I never realized it effected the distance, as I thought it was just the quality. I have had some strange moments where my vehicle was hit by a tank shell and nothing appeared, I always thought it was some kind of bug but now I guess it could be related to my effect set to medium?Inspektura43 wrote:Effects should always be set on HIGH so you can see explosions from distance.
