Everyone is still screaming for BUIS but why not use the system used for the UGL? I think that's simpler to implement than the BUIS system.

the UGL just changes the projectiles, not the sight though. And isn't the UGL a hack similar to BUIS?

That video actually looks like it would be pretty good implementing that into the game. Definitely has some benefit, and not too game-changing or overkill on the zoom.

This is exactly what I was talking about.

Where is the problem in this video, that would make it so terrible to be able to zoom in and out with the scope zoom function?

Of all topics ever discussed on the forums, how can anyone see this as bad?
Because then people will want it for pistols, knives, unarmed, etc. with the justification of "well, there is zoom on rifles that don't have scopes, and that's not realistic, so why not? Deytookurrrbinos! DEVs are tyrants! I quit PR! Waah!"

People right now are having problems with the iron sights even basically functioning. Which is making anyone that has to use them essentially blind.

I'm thinking its not very likely that droves of people are going to be flooding the forums complaining that the sight picture on their knife doesn't allow them to see past 200 meters.
Given the endless circle jerk discussions on the forums since the 1.0 beta about binocular removal and the people demanding them back or a placebo for them? No, it's impossible to foresee any further demands coming from the same people because a small zoom for unscoped rifles was implemented.

The problem was never if it was possible to implement or not, we know it could be well before that K4on made that video as said many times before in this thread.... The purpose of K4on's video was to show what it would look like, although tbh it isn't a very good example since being in a window with nothing around you, its hard to see how much situational awareness you loose while scoping in and you also can't really feel the impact on immersion though a video either.

For the problems, I really can't be asked to repeat myself over and over... Read back though the topic again if you want to find them out.

And since this topic has become, as Eddie puts it, an "endless circle jerk" going round and round on the same points over and over I think its well overdue that this topic is locked. We've considered these points in the team forums many times over and have always decided in the past this isn't a direction we want to go in. If anyone wants to bring anything new to the table then I suggest posting a topic in the suggestion forums for it to be considered.
