Re: Gaming PC
If you do end up building a rig similar to what I built for my friend, do not, and I mean it, buy the Crucial Ballistix. They are incompatible with that motherboard. He got the new set and it didn't work. Plugged the RAM in my PC, and it worked fine.

OP, I don't get your problem.
We provided you with all the information you need or possibly can use.
There's no way of 100% future-proofing your PC with your budget (if you intend to play latest games on 1080p and ultra-settings).
You can always email the site where you're buying from to ask if the parts are compatible. Even though, if they're not compatible you can just resell the part of like 95% of the price.
Eitherway, say no to pre-builts by "generic" brands like HP, Packerd Bell, Acer, etc.
Again, use this is Logical Increments - PC Buying Guide and lurk on Youtube at channels like Linustechtips, Techoftomorrow, etc.

Re: Gaming PC
PCpartspicker.com has gotten much much better in the last few months, as more people are posting complete build lists, with photos and build logs.
I also use overclock.net forums, there is a AMD build log subofrum, and the intel build log subforum.
You can now literally find a system with your desired parts list, fill out any missing parts using pcpartspicker, get comparison quotes of pricing, and have a photo and video guide to help build the system.
Life is easy for kids these days.

LITO, I will check it out.
I might just get a PC for BF4 though. Time to get working 10 jobs.

Post the final parts list for your build. I'm sure some of us won't mind looking it over.

AMD FX-6300, XFX Radeon HD 7870, NZXT Source 210 (Black) - My Custom Build2 - matty1053's Saved Part List - PCPartPicker
Here is my first and cheaper one.
Will this run any decent game on the market? (ARMA 2, ect...)
Will it run the Engine that PR 2 is using?

Asus

This motherboard is NOT made for overclocking, you will reach thermal overheat threshold and throttle almost immediately with a overclocked FX6300.
AMD Motherboards - VRM info database
That is the best reference in the world for finding a AM3+ motherboard.
The simple way to think of all the info in the spreadsheets on that link:
more better VRMs, more better MOSFET , Inductors, and Capacitors, = more better OC potential.

Hey Guys,
Im doing a build for later on in the year and i was wondering with this motherboard - Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
Would i be able to overclock a FX 6100 ? I already know to be safe when overclocking you are meant to have a Heatsink on the VRM's But as the 6100 has a TDP of 95w and the motherboard has a total TDP of 140w would it be a good idea to overclock the processor to mabey 3.8Ghz or should i leave it stock ?
Thanks in advance !
Overclocking a 6100 would probably hit the throttle pretty quick.

sorry, I am very stupid.
I just don't know what MOBO to get.
Is OC worth it w/ the processor I have selected in the list??
I will take a look on that Link tmmw. I gotta do some ****
