Stuck on joining server menu.

I can join any other server except the server I usually play on which is =HOG=. When I auto join and wait for it to launch me in, the joining server menu comes up and stays there. The background playing lags a bit and the mouse pointer flashes. I can't exit the program normally. How to fix this?
