Cannot hear players! Mumble problem!

I cannot hear people on mumble, I see their tag as talking and they can hear me, but I cannot hear them. Game sounds are fine however.
Please help, super frustrating!

I don't know the answer to this, but try tabbing out mid-game, open Mumble from the systray, then run through the "Configure" > "Audio Wizard". You should at least hear some audio playing during the "Device tuning" and "Positional Audio" stages of that setup wizard.

start PR, join online multiplayer server,
alt-tab to desktop
in taskbar next to time/date, open the PRMumble program,
configure->settings->audio output->devices
Make sure you have the correct audio output device selected for PRMumble,
remember to click APPLY on bottom right,

go back to PR, and test.

Got the same problem. Brand new headset - alt tabbed to see if settings are correct and they are.

The audio tuning wizard wont play any sound either.


Mumble seems to be the only program I can not hear from.

how does mic connect to PC?
USB or 3.5mm jack?

What OS do you have?

Start PRMumble like in my post above.

To get started, first right-click on the ?speaker? icon in the task-bar next to the clock

If you don?t see the ?speaker? icon, click the arrow to the left of the task-bar icons, You should find the ?speaker? icon hiding out in there.


In the pop up dialouge box, click ?Playback Devices?


This will open the ?Windows Sound Properties? to the ?Playback? Tab



The two tickboxes about audio exclusivity here, and the PRMumble configureation exlcusivity optin, have to be working together.

I got to run, but the solution is here. I'll post back later with better fix.

I can somewhat hear the local players talking.

They can hear me on Squad Chat and Squad Leader chat....

I can't hear any other SQUAD leader and/or squad member.
