Cyclic rate of QBZ-95B

Post by Human_001 »

Hello. I have noticed this since 0.8 or 0.9 and posted once about it but got no reply.

Why does the Chinese Crewman Carbine has lower rate of fire than IRL(800RPM)? And also The AKS74U (700RPM) which was primary fast-rate-of-fire weapon for INS, which also happens to be in Russian Crewman kit. The AKS74U had correct rate of fire back in 0.98. Is this by mistake or Intentional?

I don't understand why only these 2 weapons have lower cyclic rate than IRL when all other guns are depicted correctly.

P.S. Since we are talking about guns I have 1 more question. Is there any future plan for changing (or fixing) AK47 recoil?

I have used both G3 and AK47 in variety of Ping range including Local server and notices AK47 has same reoil as supposedly more uncontrollable Battle rifle. I have checked muzzle jump 'distance' against the wall with both rifle and it is exactly the same.

Due to engine limitations, it is impossible to set a weapon to fire at 800 RPM; for most small arms we use either 600 or 900 RPM depending on which is closer to its real-life RPM. However, it really should be firing at 900 rather than 600 as it is currently since it's closer. Thanks for pointing that out.

Actually it didn't have the right fire rate in 0.98. IIRC, it was set to fire at 700 RPM in the coding, but since that isn't a valid fire rate the engine automatically set it to use the next highest valid fire rate, so it was actually firing at 900 RPM back then. Now it's been corrected to fire at 600 RPM, which is closer to it's RL RPM.
