After you install the Update 3,
you need to go to
control panel_Programs-Add or Remove Programs (in win XP)
or
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features (in win Vista/7/
find the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 3 in the Program list, and click the "REPAIR" button.
Repair the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 3 ,
REBOOT
start PR and game on.

no go , so I uninstalled and reinstalled v1 now I cant even open that without getting this error. something bad is going on lol. I just don't know whats wrong.
Update, problem solved. A few week back when trying to get Battlefield 4 beta running I installed some visual c mega pack. This was the problem it was conflicting with the 2 versions that come with PR2, so i uninstalled it then done the fix in this thread all is now ok. Thx guys .
i had resolve the problem, i have windows 8.1 pro.
-Disinstall all visal c++ ;
-Install MS visual c++ 2010 x86/x64 redistributable - 10.0.40219 ;
-install MS visual c++ 2012 redistributable (x64) - 11.0.51106 ;
-install MS visual c++ 2012 redistributable (x86) - 11.0.60610 ;
-Reboot ;
And launch pr.It begins to install latest version automatically. Sorry but my English cuold be not good.

I have tried absoulutley everything. Downloading the patches in certain orders, rebooting, trying again. The Mod is broken and unplayable, which is such a let down for me. I was so exited to play. someone please help
I'm having the same problem, I have windows 8.1 64bit and installed the visual c + + 2012 x86 and x64 but it did not work, please is there any way to solve it??? I'm desperate to play!!
You need the x64 version if you are on
Windows Vista 64 bit
Windows 7 64 bit
Windows 8 64 bit
Windows 8.1 64 bit
You then install it, then re-launch the installer and choose repair. A restart is unnecessary. Blame MSFT for the double install to fix the registry entries.
I got it to work with other means. If somone is having the same problem and none of the other fixes are working, it will help to try this -
Step 1. Uninstall Visual C++ 2012 off your computer, using the control panel so you can check if you have two versions of the same one. Other years can stay on
Step 2. Mount the PR game installer. This is downloadable off the PR website, hope you saved it from earlier
Step 3. Go to the Dependencies folder that is on the PR iso.
Step 4. Install the proper version of vcredist
Neither of the two methods worked, even installing from. Iso of the game or from the site, this problem happens only with those who have windons 8.1? Someone who has windons 8.1 could play without problems?
