Re: PRSPY down?
hmm, my bookmark is "realitymod.com/prspy/#/servers/viewall/" which diverts to "realitymod.com/servers/viewall/" when I click it.. this never happened before. anyway thanks for the correction.
edit: Right, was laziness on my part, sorry about that.

Re: PRSPY down?
#/servers/viewall was from the old old PRSPY from a few years back. It worked with the new PRSPY, but since I updated it a few days ago to have direct linking to servers and browser history support and stuff, it will no longer work as the sub-URL's have changed, hence why you were getting the 404.
Additionally, PRSPY no longer works for IE 6/7/8, but anyone using those browsers should be shot regardless, so it's not a big deal

Relax, will you. I had the same problem which was solved by reading this thread.[R-CON]Psyrus wrote:Ancient updated prspy recently, that's why it changed. In future, you can avoid such issues by troubleshooting yourself - if you'd just gone to the homepage and clicked on the prspy button, it would've taken you to my link, thus saving you and everyone else in this thread the trouble of replying.

No-one is forcing you to reply and I don't think this thread is violating any rules.[R-CON]Psyrus wrote:Ancient updated prspy recently, that's why it changed. I'm perfectly relaxed, thanks. I suppose the above advice would apply to you too, then.BennyOB wrote:Relax, will you. I had the same problem which was solved by reading this thread.
Indeed I'm not being forced to reply, and if the thread had broken any forum rules I would've reported it to a moderator using the forum's inbuilt functionality.Gracler wrote:No-one is forcing you to reply and I don't think this thread is violating any rules.![]()
Instead, I replied because I like helping people, but I'm guided by the following principle:
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life.
I don't expect people to intuitively understand thatthey can try telnetting to a gamespy server, that's definitely tech-head advice, but something as basic as navigating to the root site you think is down is a troubleshooting step that I don't think should be beyond most people.
