For AAS games could the UAV be confined to the Capture points the you hold? Kinda like the UAV balloon the army uses over bases?

I think the UAV is ok. But DOD should apply IMO. I mean like is it neccesary for the enmy to look into the enemy base? Not!
The funniest thing I hear from someone that was using UAV...
"Why doesn't the UAV have missiles?"
I explained, don't worry!

Sure it is, you're able to tell if CAS has landed/spawned, if the team are using all their vehicles etc. This is all important intel for your team.matty1053 wrote:I think the UAV is ok. But DOD should apply IMO. I mean like is it neccesary for the enmy to look into the enemy base? Not!

Ofc every major force of this planet would allow a scout plane to fly over their base.saXoni wrote:Sure it is, you're able to tell if CAS has landed/spawned, if the team are using all their vehicles etc. This is all important intel for your team.

That's not the point. The dude asked if it was necessary to be able to look into the enemy team's base.Frontliner wrote:Ofc every major force of this planet would allow a scout plane to fly over their base.

He means necessary in terms of why it's possible in the first place. Any regular armed force would be keen on making short work out of a UAV, and have the means to do so. However in the game it is impossible for it to be shot down, so the gain is enormous, comes with no effort and there is no risk involved, unlike having a reconnaissance team making their way there and giving the intel.

Re: Flares, UAV, lack of AT, asset rolling
I remember on Kashan. (HOG server to be exact :roll
For the first time in about 3 years, I was cas. I finally learned how to land correctly. (somewhat
)
And the damn commander was lasing EVERYTHING in the MEC main. I got banned for 12 hours becuase I was not listening to commander.
Meanwhile, the US was being steamrolled back into NV by the enemy armor and INF.
I MANUALLY bombed 2 T72s. Yes, it's a big pain... but I managed to.
He had the UAV in the MEC main the whole round.
But OT....
I think that it is NOT neccesary for the CO to put UAV over enemy main.
To support that statement...
There could be enemy armor whipping friendly armor out and no one knows where the heck they are. So, it is not appropriate to have the UAv over enemy main the round.

Pretty sure I said something about shooting down UAV's a long time ago and got yelled at.
