Apparently not and they won't RTFM and then we will see posts b*tchin about bugs that are already written up.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']
Do you have ANY idea what it takes to release a piece of software as complex as this?
Amazing ! Thanks a lot Guys'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']
And we worked on solving that problem from about 9pm PST until around 4am this morning so we could make the release date.
They will complain that they are 197th in line or that it's only coming down at 10kb/s'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']
You can whine about those when we put them up![]()
Thanks Again. - still seeding

To make µtorrent run properly turn off DHT and PEX and use protocol encryption so your ISP can't recognize that it's bit torrent traffic going through.
Also use a port that is not a typical bit torrent port or the port of another p2p software, I suggest using ports from 50000 and above.
Set up 70 - 80% of your brutto upspeed limit (DSL sync value) as torrent upspeed.
Consider using http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_shaping, either built-in of a router or just use cFosSpeed or cFos.

Now I upped over 600 Gig and had some issues of free hd space on the webseed box and stopped.

I doubt it, direct link is probably going to go from start to end (unless you have an accelerator) , torrents bring random chunks of the file then reasemble it. Try it let us know how it works outNastygas wrote:Hey, i've got a question, i downloaded the azurale but after i started using the torrent is there any way to switch it over without loseing my progress?

DEV's, next time you release something this big, rar it up into 20meg rars and include an .sfv file as I'm sure there will be a lot of disgruntled people with corrupted files at the end of this! at least with the .SFV file you can run a checker which tells you which 20meg files are corrupted, delete them and run the torrent again aiming at the rest of the files
and thankgod AOL didn't decide to cap me to 70-80kbs this evening of all evenings.
See you guys on the battlefield, right before both me and you evaporate in a puff of smoke and flames !!!!!

I am the webmaster of the .:iGi:. clan website, my participation in the gaming end isn't at a high, but i told the guys i could take at least 1,000 downloads, the host is based in the Netherlands so download speeds should be pretty good. Unfortunately due to lack of communication between myself, the testers and also myself not really having permission to have obtained this file, i never managed to get it up in time, i am currently downloading through the torrent.
However, if someone would be willing to upload it to our FTP server, i would be more than willing to create an account for them to do so!
If not, i reckon i could have a direct download link by Monday night at the latest! But as i say i can only take on about 1,000 downloads, and i have no guarantee on what the speeds would be like.

You DEVs have no idea how much we appriate this. WE really love you!
You deserve a million cookies!
On another note - anybody any guides for optimising internetz and/or azurus for downloads? Coming in at 26kb when I've got an 8mb connection (400kb normally, 5000kbps on speed test) I've already used the azurus wiki.
I just wnat to get in and sex it up soon. I'ts 10:00pm here and I'd prefer not to wait till 1pm tomorrow to play.
Love you guys!

I had similar issues with azerus - switched to utorrent and followed the directions for port forwarding etc and I get my full bandwidth.^Slick wrote: On another note - anybody any guides for optimising internetz and/or azurus for downloads? If you think your ISP limits or kills torrent then Gordon's tips are good.
