Why would they need to go to vanila BF2 to make a modification with zombies? If PR already is superior to BF2 vanila might aswell start a mod with PR as base.

To be classified as "mod" you don't need to modify the original game, you can have a mod of a mod originated of another mod...

Also, if you don't see "zombies" as a somewhat realistic thing, then you just lack imagination. A disease that largely increases aggressive behavior and decreases or removes pain sensitivity is not far stretched, there are already diseases with such characteristics. A zombie doesn't necessarily have to be a deceased human that has become carnivorous... it can simply be completely insane and violent humans with higher pain tolerance and lower intelligence.

Funny enough, there are countries that actually have a protocol setup in case of a zombie apocalypse. That show's how popular the damn thing has become.

simply explained... it's not that unrealistic depending on how you interpret it. And as Turista said, and it was already explained in this thread... its a minimod for PR because of all the great content that the PR mod already offers. You only play it if you want to.

Whether a minimod is about reality or not, if it helps to use PR as a base - why not . Also, you're looking for a certain mindset, communicate through voip a lot, etc, etc. The PR playerbase offers a lot.

Dear Raklodder, please focus on reading more carefully! This is not developed by the Project Reality team, but a group of community members. That was cleared up a couple pages ago if it wasn't clear enough already.

Mate, don't even bother... if they can't bother to read, then we shouldn't bother to explain it over and over again.

Already done quite enough of that and quite patiently I must add. It's not worth it.

I will simply add that the first version of PR:Z is almost ready, after a bit more than one year of work. So its not like we're starting a new project here... We're just further developing it.

As someone said in this thread already, the players who support this project tend to post less than the ones that are strongly against it. Meaning it's best to just ignore the majority of the comments on this thread not because they're against it but because the reasoning behind it is directly connected to not bothering to read the information before posting. We'll see how it goes once it gets released... I'm sure a lot of people will have quite a bit of fun.

It will probably be once/twice a week with X reserved slots for regulars and the rest of the slots for whoever wants to join.

For the beginning at least, it will need an admin to activate/deactivate scripts so even if the server is up 24/7, it will not be in working conditions... as it will have no loot spawned, for example.
