Building a new pc

Hi I was looking to spend about $1500 on a new computer to run PR BF2 and Rome 2 on Ultra with huge armies. I can build it myself and was looking at newegg and amazon for a place to buy. This is what I came up with but Im not sure if all the parts will work together or if I could upgrade something, also not sure who makes the parts better(Gigabyte/ASUS/EVGA). Some parts I wasnt sure what was better so I put both, any help would be great, thanks.

Which GTX 770 you would buy? Gainward? EVGA?

Wasnt sure on the 770 I here ASUS is better but I dont know so I was looking for suggestions

Asus is great. I have the gtx 680dc2t and it works perfectly. Silent, and good power. Is huge though, so you have to get a good case, probably.

I would choose a Gainward Phantom or EVGA SC (SuperClocked) ACX cooler...

They have really nice design, also I am still happy with my more than 2 year old GTX 570 Phantom...

Looks like a solid build. Great components. I'd swing for some faster clocked RAM and perhaps a modular PSU for a cleaner look.

ive had problems with NZXT's cases awhile ago, then i switched to coolermaster'sHAF XB. granted its not the quitetest case of them all, but it looks abit different and has kept my components nicely cooled down. plus it has those handles for taking it to lan parties

ASUS could be not such gr8 quality VGA-card, and maybe the two fans might be loud compared to a Gainward Phantom model... check it.

Daniel, if you don't know what you're talking about, don't give advice on this board. the Asus Direct CU II is a top of the line non-reference cooling solution.

It was only advice on checking and make sure you won't regret having choosen ASUS instead of any other VGA brand... But if you are sure on the so-called "Direct CU II " cooling solution...

I know that Gainward is good quality: Phantom

Did some research, ASUS one has 21 awards, the Gainward one "only" five (checked on asus.com website) ...

So okay, the ASUS one might be faaar "better", but you have to agree, Gainwards has better advertisement...

its not all in advertisments daniel... you have to check reviews then decide. also personal experience with different brands helps. i know i probably wont switch from eVGA unless a really good reason arises. but that doesnt mean ill only reccomend eVGA and nothing else.

and the 'so called' direct CU II is a great cooling solution from what i have heard, plus having too fans means they spin less fast, means less noise

edit, proved my point now. didnt check phantom cooling before. see it has some nifty features

Btw. I think of upgrading my GTX 570 Phantom (gainward) to a Phantom 770 aswell, since Nvidia HAD to do an awesome price drop on the 770 series during november...

Not sure though if the MSI 770 Lightning isn't better... (material wise)
