1212 Error is a nightmare for this game

I am getting the 1212 error. I have seen the work around, but is it going to remain like this? Are we going to have to keep copying and pasting links now for every update there is? That's ok for people who now a little about computers, but for those that don't, I'm afraid they may just give up and not play the game. Also, if a fix does come does that mean I will have to re-install my whole game again to get it to work? Thanks!
