CQC Shooting
One thing I really like about close quarter battle in PR is the realism. One thing I hate is the deviation at close range. The deviation hurts a lot when in a close quarter environment (within 75 meters). In order to make tactics and teamwork more effective we should start deviation at 75 meters and make the red dot be zero before 75 meters at o seconds. This makes inside ambushes difficult to be effective in close quarters

You are not allowed to talk about deviation if you haven't experienced 0.8 and 0.85.... THE HORROR! It's fine as it is, good compromise between 0.6 lazer weapons and the exaggerated deviation of younger versions.

Its just feedback from being 50 meters from a guy and blasting away at him ,only to be wasted because he was in position for 2 more seconds then I was . It has happened on more then one occasion

I'm sorry to say it this straight out but thats failure on your end. Even in previous versions I've never had issues hitting anything below 100m, even though many people claimed it. With 1.0 I've come numerous times across situations where I dropped a guy instantly even tho I just came around a corner and he was well set up.lukeviper248 wrote:Its just feedback from being 50 meters from a guy and blasting away at him ,only to be wasted because he was in position for 2 more seconds then I was . Actually I agree with viper. With new deviation 9/10 times you will die if you have your sights up at close range. You actual LOSE accuracy by looking down the sights as opposed to shooting from the hip.

"Just because"? Imagine yourself in his position... imagine the frustration of being killed by someone, even though you were in position for a full 2 seconds more than he was. Is that really what you want the game to be like?lukeviper248 wrote:Its just feedback from being 50 meters from a guy and blasting away at him ,only to be wasted because he was in position for 2 more seconds then I was . At least in real life, my round hits the dot when I fire, I shoot action rifle and pistol, I know a little bit about close quarter tactical shooting.

But i am pretty sure the guy ADSing first will get the drop on you unless you have super fast target acquiring skills and madly fast trigger finger which isn't true for most people so he deserves to get the kill cause he was prepared for you. The faster and accurate you are to shoot the higher the chances of you wining a cqc.lukeviper248 wrote:At least in real life, my round hits the dot when I fire, I shoot action rifle and pistol, I know a little bit about close quarter tactical shooting.

Re: CQC Shooting
this isnt real life, this is a game, there are a lot of things you need to take into consideration frist of all you ping vs his ping.
I think is fine as it is, however what happened to you has happened to me a lot of times, I come around the corner I see a guy standing about 10m and I shoot full auto at him and I die. Maybe I hit him but he didnt die and a single bullet came into my face and killed me.
Luck, and where are you aiming (torso, head) is very important as well. Maybe I empty my magazine and he fires a single shot and I die, thats annoying but luckily I have my squad and they kill the guy and revive me

Since when is 50 yards in any shooting other than target shooting a sure hit?
Since when is 50 yards CQC?
CQC is about 10 yards dude.
You can easily miss your target at 50 yards in real life blasting away like that. You can easily miss your target at 25 and 10 yards, even just running courses with targets.
Then you throw into the mix that a guy is standing there with a rifle shooting at you while you try to hit the target, and you still think you should hit 'em like you punch paper at the range?
On top of all that, you think still you should of been able to hit someone first while you came up on them suddenly, fired off a bunch of wild *** shots... while he was waiting there for you, already aiming at where you were going to be?

Victory favours the prepared. Be it a defender prepared and covering a hallway, or an attacker pushing into said hallway. If you run into a room willy nilly and get surprised by a guy standing in the corner, you're going to lose that fight. On the other hand if you have the element of surprise and storm into the room and properly scan as you do so, you're more likely to win that fight.

A stable firing position is incredibly important in PR, if you have to move into a stabilised firing zone, you need an advantage. You need:
1) Grenades
2) a flanking or suppresive element
3) a vehicle

the only one that is difficult for insurgents to provide is the vehicle, even then a SPG techie is often avaliable; it's suppressive capability is actually fantastic, people treat it like a TOW when it's far more multipurpose and capable of accurately engaging from beyond effective small arm range, it's speed also allows it to hit and run effectively.'[FSA wrote:IrRahman;1967945']Good luck with that when playing as insurgent :>

SPG effective against infantry? Sure:[R-DEV]Rudd wrote:the only one that is difficult for insurgents to provide is the vehicle, even then a SPG techie is often avaliable; it's suppressive capability is actually fantastic, people treat it like a TOW when it's far more multipurpose and capable of accurately engaging from beyond effective small arm range, it's speed also allows it to hit and run effectively.
And INS also don't have grenades for CQB weapons, getting into close quarters with bolt action is suicide and shotgun won't work for longer ranges.
