Error 1212 Fixes not working

I have been following the Error 1212 fix found here: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... fixes.html
This fix appears to work for most people however when I try to run the .prpatch file I receive an error like this:

11: Error parsing command line arguments.

Usage: PRLauncher.exe <options>

Available options are:
+wx <value> - Postion game window at x-position
+wy <value> - Postion game window at y-position
+join <value> - Join a server via ip ort
+joinpass <value> - The password for the server
+multi - Allow starting multiple instances
+help - this help message
+? - This help message

After pressing OK it closes itself.
Any help on this problem would be appreciated.

*SOLVED*
I managed to get my launcher to update.
Unlike what the fix says (or at least how I read it) I had to move all of the update files into the update file directory, and then run a check for update.

when you say you moved the patch files into the update directory what directory exactly was that????

I cannot see any directory with the name "update", so i assume you mean something else.

I to am experiencing issues with windows 8, well 8.1 to be exact. Its getting really frustrating now. So much for Desura being the Easy option lol.

Can you start PRLauncher?

Start PRlauncher->Options Tab->Global Tab

You will see,
"Update download Location"
and the directory

default location on x64 OS is C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\Downloads

Make sure the tick the tickbox for "Keep Update Files" and then click the APPLY Button.

Thanks for the help. Ive got it updating now.

Believe it or not it seems to have been an internet issue. I disabled AV and allowed PRLauncher and PRUpdater through firewall and it is now running the updates.

Ill let you know if i manage to get ingame soon.

IF you check this thread again, please let us know which antivirus program was blocking the updater.

Hello I am still getting the error im on windows 7 and i have tryed all of the fixes noting has worked
im am really stuck and have no idea what to do please help.
