Can my computer play PR?

Post by lolman1c »

I finding it difficult to play PR on my computer as the fps is about 10-20 fps while in a city. (This is when I am on my own LAN map on the lowest settings possible.) I am unsure if this is a fault with my settings, something i have done or if my laptop just can't run the game.

Here are my specs:
Windows 8
AMD A-4 5000 APU with radeon(TM) HD Graphics 1.50 GHZ (Quad core)
RAM: 8 GB
64 bit
AMD Radeon HD 8330

I believe it might just be my cpu dragging me down even if it is a quad core. Also does 50% view distance increase the view distance or will i get a better performance with 100% view distance?

The GPU is also a drawback.
I hate to say it but there's not much you can do
I'd suggest getting a whole new computer actually :/
For around 350/400 pounds you can get a computer than can run PR smoothly on mid/high settings

Why would I waste my money of a new computer though? This laptop is for mostly work while I am at university, I have a gaming computer but I couldn't bring it with me to my flat. Also I'm not much of a gamer, I was just making sure I wasn't doing something wrong as I bought bf2 like years and years ago. :)

PR's requirements are a lot higher than vBF2's, so yeah. Your best bet is playing it on your gaming computer if you ever get around to it :)
