So, I love to play INS and recently I observed a really annoying thing, which is more and more coming into fashion (guess what it is). I don't know why, but it seems like the new lifetask of many Blufordudes is to kill every civi they see. They don't care about the fact that Blufor loses intel points and intelligence about cache locations.

To crown it all, last round there was a guy called viirusellii (or something like that), who ruined the whole round for blufor by killing civis only. He had a score of nearly -1000, and admitted several times via allchat that he doesn't care if blufor loses because of him and that he likes killing civis. He literally ruined the game for me, and the whole Blufor team. For some reason the CIA admins just didn't ban that guy.

During that civi killing spree some blufor guys even ranted about how hard this gamemode sucks, because they somehow can't get any intel on the second cache location and are still stuck on that first cache (which was besieged by civilians at that time, insurgent team was really smart). Best excuse to kill civis still was: "I shoot them because they're meatshields, i can't get a good shot on riflemans because of them".

So, is there any chance people will play this gamemode without going full retard?

This is why I don't care to play on pubbies, however there are a lot of people who play legitimately.

I have also noticed that killing civies has gone up a lot. Honestly, I would post on their (CIA) forums about the incident as that is largely the admin fault (if any were even on) for not banning him.

Yes it would be nice to see a personal penalty for killing civis, like a longer spawn time however, again, what you described is an admin problem.

I saw atleast 3 admins on that server, who did nothing. Maybe because most of them were on the insurgent side and found it funny that blufor failed so hard by killing every civi they saw (final score: -3000 points). I don't think it was that funny for those blufors who just wanted to play legitimately.

I think the max. penalty time (5mins?) for slaughtering civis is too low, too.

believe me I've been in alot of his APC squads, most of the times he gets up to 100 kills without killing any civis at all..I dont think its any big of a deal

I think the auto-kill function should be beefed up a little bit. Currently you're auto-killed by the game if you kill [4] collaborators within [10] mins of each other, but I think a second counter which is roundLongROEViolations should also be implemented, so if you get to say, 10 kills in the round, it'll also kill you. Knowing 4 in 10 mins can allow people to game the system like that, but if you have a non-expiring counter to watch out for, it may make them once again a little more cautious. 10 or 15 would be acceptable in my opinion, allowing for a lot of 'accidents', but stopping the "Lay waste to everything" people that ruin rounds for others.

That's just my opinion as a player. I still think my original solution would've solved these kinds of problems a bit better :P

The reason why the "punish killing-sprees counter" is so high is because civis can abuse this feature with unfair tactics.
Bluefor players shouldn't be punished by accidents that hard, but for killing civis on purpose.

Having a guy with -1000 points is even worse for the Blueforteam than blowing up 2 APCs in the base, as it will be kinda hard to win the round then. (no intel, no caches)

Though rules are up 2 the server admins, not to the DEVs.
I can just recall that a few well populated servers I've played on take action against such civi-killing griefers.
However, if you dislike the rules of certain servers, take it to their forum directly.
This is not a place for server/player bashing.
