every map marker == networkable then?

Yes I believe so. This also goes for every deployable etc too.

Gosh. thinking about it:

markers,ladders, destroyables, deployables, players and all their actions, vehicles and all their parts. No wonder we get so many server crashes :(

Ladders aren't networkables, but are limited on a separate limiter.

Yes I'm sure. Ladders are limited separately from networkables but are limited to something like 1023 (think that's the value but would need to check it to be sure). If you go above 1023 ladders then you get a crash with a different error from networakbles if someone tries to climb one on a dedicated server. Muttrah has the absolute limit of ladders on the map, one more ladder and it crashes but it doesn't have any networkable issues due to very few dest objects etc.

EDIT: its limited to 255 ladders, just used the PR Build's ladder count tool which counts all the ladders on the maps:
