Thats what made TART unbalanced, agree 100%If you can sign up with a whole squad of clan people or mates it denies the entire point of it being a public tournament.

But is it really a bad thing if people enjoy playing with each other?

No it's not, but TART got killed because of that.
And the benefit of playing with new people definitely makes up for that!
I'd love to see a PRT again!

They can do that, on every public server, during every clan match and whenever else they feel the need to.Wheres_my_chili wrote:But is it really a bad thing if people enjoy playing with each other?

Barely anyone plays clan matches anymore due to a lack of numbers.Brainlaag wrote:They can do that, on every public server, during every clan match and whenever else they feel the need to.
So tourneys are kind of the only last place clans can play in an organized environment. You just have to balance the clans out on both teams.

Restricting who can join what team is already putting the concept in a bad light, and in the past all these tourneys have been based on meeting new players and making new friends but considering how the community has dwindled since the last truly successful PRT you cannot afford to say "you can play here but not there".
The people in charge of these tournaments need to be more level headed then the vast majority of posters here, and the past has shown there are too few characters with these merits around to effectively drive a tourney from A-Z.

Disagree. Ill just mention Onil and Orthas. And I'm sure they can come up with more names. Put Onil in charge and sit back and relax. But I'm unsure if he is interested.
As for posters, its just people that responded to query and are just happy to see it started again. The who will play where is a matter of management of the tourney not the posters in this thread.

@ Fizzco & Murphy
You do realize that the only guys that seem to be against being divided into different squads or teams are OD-S right?
PRT was always about random individual players signing up and being put into squads and trained from the ground up by more experienced players. There was usually only one or two clan/group full squads.
If you want to play as a clan, you play as a clan against other clan/s or you can play in the FH tourney. We had enough of tournaments with teams being almost completely controlled by a clan or an alliance of clans and the results are either a huge unbalance or regular conflict. And even though clan squads do already bring a higher level of skill and experience and sometimes team-working into a team, they don't help much with the randoms that join in.
That is not what the PRT was about and that is not what the PRT should be about.

Re: Interest in an official tournament? Return of the PRT?
It causes unnecessary trouble to deal with, can't you just swallow it down and try to enjoy playing with some like minded people? I have been playing almost exclusively with mates for the past, what, 3, 4 years? Mostly because I simply didn't want to deal with disrespectful and retarded pubbers. Since the PRT demands some sort of commitment, we are less likely to encounter those kind of people and should be able to enjoy it even while being assigned to people we don't/hardly know._Fizzco_ wrote:Barely anyone plays clan matches anymore due to a lack of numbers.

Interest in an official tournament? Return of the PRT?
Brainlagg. Was that necessary. After seeing some vids of prt. I saw clans not agreeing with each other.
And you said pubbies are retarded? Most I played with are not retards.
Since you say that. Seems to make me less sign up for prts.
