Not this shit again. I find it hillarious that people keep preaching balance when in reality if a tournament ever came out, the same people would just join the same sides as before, and we all know how thats going to end.

Alright, I'll rephrase it so it's clear for everyone:

In order to avoid disruptive players, as in trolls, idiots, egomaniacs, etc. which are quite common among public players, especially these days, I used to play mostly with mates. No where did I say clan people are exempt from this, you'll find the aforementioned kind of people also in clans, JUST that they are less likely there, because, well, they play in a tight group and I doubt people would tolerated bad players among them for long.
I'm not saying ALL pubbies are bad, on the contrary some are much more pleasant to play with than narrow minded and isolated elitists but they are becoming rare. Often you have to literally chew yourself through rounds to meet decent people, dealing with all kind of morons. I could write a book of situations where player x joined, took a HAT kit and left the squad, or player y joined, didn't say jack shit, ran of with a specially kit, got killed and started crying for a medic. More so on servers where people hardly care about such behavior, which sadly are the only populated most of the time.

Both teams in the FH tournament are fully controlled by an alliance of clans, not just one. And that is exactly what shouldn't happen in the PRT. If all squads are clan/language squads, it limits the access for random players and the cooperation between them and experienced players.

If you want to play PR with your clan mates, you can plan clan wars or join a tournament that accepts full clan squads... you do have those options right now. If the PRT comes back, it should be focused on individual players, not on groups of players.

And yes, people do team up and have preferences to stick together and that has to be taken in to account but it also has to be limited to a certain percentage within a squad. It's been two years since the PRT was closed, I don't think players will be as strict in regards to which team they want to join and with whom they want to play.

I think that everyone that wants the PRT back should focus on improving it rather than going back to exactly the same PRT structure and teams.

You realize that sometimes players estimate situations to be different from someone else's perspective and both parties genuinely believe that they are correct. Most know one another quite well so there is no bad blood involved. Publics mostly do w/e the fuck they want without consulting anybody, and the lack of communication makes the whole deal worse than it already(due to their lack of experience, game sense etc.) is.

Then either you are incredibly lucky or you turn a blind eye to what they're doing. I can understand that it's often hard to get into PR and that my standards go higher as I get better at the game, but when I have to repeat myself thrice and then some I not only loose patience but also my willingness to give people who's name I don't recognize the benefit of the doubt when they join my squad.

I believe discussing that matter HERE will not help us much in bringing back the PRT. I suggest we should emphasize on the need for a new PRT campaign and ask for DEVs opinions on this. If we manage to bring back PRT, then we or the Admin team can discuss how to shape up the teams.

I really thing that this discussion is needed although it should not be the primary objective at the moment. Obviously there are a lot of people wanting PRT back so we should voice our opinion on the need for a PRT rather than how its gonna be carried out.

Doubt theres even enough players to have the same sort of epic battles as before. Limiting clans/friends/whatevers in any way will further reduce the numbers, as well as the usual sign up-never show up again people.

The game isnt what it used to be, and I think the PRT was awesome back then partially due to the way the game itself played out.

Even if support from Devs is aquired, I doubt they would be willing to do all the work required to run this. Nevermind how teams are build, I am more interested if there would be any people in this loud group who would be willing to put in hours to bring back the old PRT? Honestly PRT worked amazing exactly because the teams had incredible staff and officer base who were active daily.

How many here just wants "good fights"? I don't see the tournament succeeding unless people are willing to put in hours to teach new players and older players all the tricks required. in PRT you put more time preparing for a match than in a match.

As for the team building, it can be difficult. Clans want their own members in the same teams and clans which have worked together in the past want to be able to work together in the tournament too. Think this issue is however secondary to the one above. This issue isn't really limited to one right way and is more about just doing it somehow.

Couldn't have said it any better.

The posts here should be focus on what the PRT provided for the community and why it is needed.

My opinion is that veteran players can't get PRT alike game-play anywhere else and many have stopped playing PR due to that. The mod is developed keeping the public playing in mind but only in an organized and structured event does the PR game-play get put to the test, teamwork wise.

In regards to less experienced or totally new players, the PRT was a way to meet new people and get help in learning and improving. That resulted in better teamwork focused game-play in the public servers not just by PRT members joining them but also EX PRT players joining them after they played a campaign and learned a few things.

So a tournament like the PRT will not only improve the game-play within it, but also improve the game-play over-all in public servers and community events. That is why it is so needed!

Onil, you like to argue for the sake of arguing, I got that ages ago but at least try to look beyond your block of a mind when throwing your words around man. You essentially said "OD-S needs to go and find a clan match and forget working together in a PRT environment, PRT is about retard randoms (someone elses words not me, just to color the point)". You based it on such an invalid point you came off as just trying to be your normal offensive self.

Garnering attention for the PRT is a lot more difficult then it used to be and frankly I know there are plenty of other gaming communities that offer large, organized events on a regular basis and I'm sure they never had a second thought about keeping the events rolling and as such they have the dedicated player base to continue. The dev's have shown a lot of doubt and misgivings concerning the PRT, the history of the PRT admin team has not been bright and there are reasons they stepped backed. I wouldn't mind seeing a new team set up but I don't see the right people around anymore so stop holding your collective breath.

I see the comeback of the PRT as a combined effort of the community, not to bring back "old times" but to stimulate the community, push the playerbase, servers and all the groups forward and keep the game alive for a longer time.

Discussing whether or not you should be able to sign up as a clan is pointless at this stage when we have to convince the DEVs to bring it back. 100:10 in less than 24 hrs is a clear sign imo.

To the vets: Step back from your 'good old days' attitude and do something for today's PR instead of talking down new efforts.

No, it is not for the sake of arguing, it is a valid point even if you may not agree with it. And even if you may not be the only clan that has an issue with being divided, you are certainly the one that makes the most noise about it.

My opinion is based not only on your comments but also pass actions in FH, TART and PRT regarding your clan squads. Each one is entitled to his own opinion.

From what I get from the current FH campaign, quite a few clan squads are getting to the same conclusion, which is that in order for teams to be more balanced and the tournament to be more interesting, clan members need to be shuffled more. And that is definitely what clans should consider when signing up for a tournament, individuals come first, groups come after.

The welfare of the tournament and its community comes before the welfare or the preferences of any specific clan. That should be quite obvious specially to a clan that attempts to join with 20 members.
