Error 1324

Hello. I've just installed v1.1 and in the video tab there is no display mode/resolution available to select. On launch I get error 1324. I've tried resetting my profiles and importing three different profiles - one with gamespy, and it's done nothing.

I know the above is my issue, but in NVIDIA Control Panel, like others have solved their issues, I can't select a discrete GPU as my preferred graphics processor. I don't have the drop down menu for it anywhere. At least, I don't believe so. It might just be my stupidity. Any suggestions on what to do?

No, actually, I have a GTX 760 2GB in my desktop. And I did try those steps, but on the step where you select your preferred graphics processor, I don't have the drop down menu in my nvidia control panel.

I'm not sure where it would be exactly on there, but it's not there from what I see.

OK, sorry to be basic here, but if your monitor is plugged into the back of the graphics card it is running on the discrete GPU , your GTX 760. If the monitor is plugged into the back of the motherboard you are running off the integrated iGPU on the CPU.

Does vanilla BF2 online multiplayer work?
Does local PR LAN server work?
Are you starting PRLauncher.exe as a Admin?


We need to edit your Video.con files in Notepad:
Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\Default\Video.con
and in
Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\0001\Video.con

If you have another resolution, download the Video.con file, edit it in notepad to show the correct resolution.
DO you have a monitor running at 1920x1080?
if you do have monitor at 1920x1080 just copy this and overwrite what's there:

No worries for being basic, I'm pretty dumb with this kind of stuff. Vanilla BF2 online works fine. Really, I'm not sure how to check how PR's LAN is working if I can't launch from the launcher and the executable for the game doesn't let me play without the launcher either. I'm running as admin, yes. I replaced my video.con info with that, and it did nothing.

Looks like the Windows 7/Vista/Whatever version of Windows Nvidia Control Panel was in your link's example is different from my 8.1. I dunno. It's just missing a step that's important.

I have a laptop, but no integrated/discrete graphics options to pick from. Running Win8.

Found a fix:

Open C:\Users\NAME\Documents\ProjectReality - Now right click on "Profiles" - Go to properties and un-tick read-only.

Now open up your 1.0 Launcher and go to your options, and select "reset profiles to default" or whatever it says.

In PR, If you crash at the splash screen, or the screen goes black and then crashes to desktop, try to start PR in windowed mode by following the directions below:
Start PRLauncher->
Options->
Video Tab->
UNTICK the Fullscreen tickbox->
Chose a display resolution and refresh rate that is smaller than your desktop resolution from the drop down menu, or create a custom resolution->
Click Apply

If you start in windowed mode and it CTDs, a Message will pop up telling you the problem. Take a screenshot or write this down and post it to this thread.
