With the release of Shadowplay 1.8.2 today, it is now a mature product, waiting for PR players to start streaming and recording for Twich.tv, Youtube.com and other video websites.

i am using shadowplay since it was released to record gameplay. its much better than any other recording tool. recording on 1080p on 60fps with no ingame fps drop is simply amazing. streaming works similar. everyone who meets the hardware requirements should give this a try.

Easy as fuck to set up, top quality, no FPS drop (well, only on ArmA3 ultra ..) - Best thing is the constant background-recording. If anything cool happens, hit a button and the past X minutes get saved. You won't miss any ridiculous kill that way :P

The sound always seems to be 5 or 10 seconds behind the video for some reason, anyone got any idea why?

Honest question, if anyone happens to pass by this thread:

If we, the PR team, were to stream PR on a regular (read: probably weekly) basis using the realitymod channel, would you want to watch it? Note that most of the time we'd just be playing the public released build; every once in a while you might get some preview candy, but not with high frequency.

In all honesty i'd rather video's on youtube of the best bits, my timezone combined with a lack of organisation means i almost always miss streams.

@ Ironclad: yes, of course I still would, to see how the creaters of this work perform themselves ingame in battles as they know everything as they programmed itself! :D (But Twitch keeps livestreams also for later view afaik)

Just tested it.

Recorded on both Al Basrah and Fallujah West, two maps that have always sort of killed my frame ratio - especially when recording. When using the NVidia Shadowplay I did not experience any additional FPS drop whatsoever, which is great.

This doesn't make up to all the negative stuff though. The color is too bright, which is an issue I've always had using the H.264 and other similar codecs. There are only three choices when it comes to audio; no audio, in-game audio and in-game audio and microphone - they need to change this into letting us choose what audio devices we want to have recorded. The in-game audio was also reduced drastically when choosing the "in-game and microphone", it seemed muffled in an awkward way.

Hopefully they'll keep working on it without complicating it too much, giving us just a few more options that will improve this a lot.

If I have missed anything obvious, or you have any tips on how to get the audio good please tell me as I am interested in continuing using this software.
