Texture Quality
You guys know that the texture quality is one of the most effective factors when it comes to the game beauty and graphics so i have a problem that i can't set Texture Quality to High there is only 2 options Low - Medium and so the vehicles and weapons and other objects in game looks ugly because of that just a notice also that i'am using High for every option in the graphics menu and my graphic card is GeForce GT 610 with 2 gb random ram

Re: Texture Quality
Are you using the options in the Launch window (and not within the game menu)?
Moving this to the support section as you should be able to select high textures.

Re: Texture Quality
You can change the setting by editing the video .con file.
To do this go to your library/files/ProjectReality/profiles/"yourprofile"/video.
From there you should see all your set video setting; so now just change the VideoSettings.setTextureQuality to 3 or 4.

Re: Texture Quality
You should be able to do it in the options screen of the launcher:

Is this where you are, or are you trying to do it in-game?

Re: Texture Quality
You do not have a 64bit OS or have not enabled the 3GB ram fix to use the "High" texture option, so it has been disabled automatically.

Re: Texture Quality
In your case the launcher won't show the high option, editing the .con file just forces the setting go high.
Once you have edited the .con file, just go to ingame and see for yourself.
There really isn't much difference with option 3 and 4 i bet. Your game will just crash if your hardware can't handle it.

Re: Texture Quality
Well, try again. First you have to edit that profile's .con file which you are currently using. Then right after that go ingame the see the difference.
Maybe you tried editing the video setting in the pr launcher after you edited the .con file, so it went for the optimal setting.

Re: Texture Quality
Change the Video.con file options to High. Save the Video.con . Right click the Video.con file, then change the attributes to "Read Only". That will prevent PR or BF2 from editing the file.

Re: Texture Quality
I just noticed that this won't work anymore. The launcher detects if the file is in "read only" and prevents launching.[R-COM]LITOralis.nMd wrote:Change the Video.con file options to High. Re: Texture Quality
Like I said, install the 3gb fix or get a 64bit operating system. And have 3gb of ram. The game limiting you is for a reason. You'd simply get memory crashes all the time.
