Perhaps use them as escorts. Ex: DERP INF is overrun at an enemy FOB they had just blew up and needs a lift. So TRANS send a pair of Chinooks and to pick them up, one monitors the area and lights enemy soldiers up with dual miniguns + FN MAG, and the "support" one RTBs while the other gets on to the next objective. CRANS squads actually sound like a good idea TBH.

Now, that is the thing I wouldn't mind.

It's effective depending on how you do it. One, you can never be in the front line. It's best taking out INF that is behind enemy lines. I know in Khamiyash, usually a few guys try to run around and plant mines in the city. Sometimes I'll get in a cow and circle around while gunning them down; especially since they like to post up in the mosque tower and most INF don't hide from trans but rather jump out and shoot at it with their M4s like they're going to do something.

I've also seen a cow camp an enemy FOB that was far behind our lines. He just sat over it and slaughtered everyone as they spawned.

Slightly related, I find it amusing how many people get angry when you fire the guns even if you're actively shooting somebody while you're landing. Same goes for boats. People even have the Mk19 boat and refused to suppress the enemy for some reason (that or they're one of those "I have to see the enemy to shoot them" people).
