Unable to create gamespy account

Hello,

Presumably since Gamespy has been down for years, I cannot create a gamespy account. What am I supposed to do when the PR client prompts me to select a profile? I've created an offline account but it prevents me from playing online in game. Whenever I try to create an online account it tells me the email is already in use (when it definitely is not). My clients are updated and the game runs fine in local.

Gamespy servers are still running, if the game says your email is already in use, it is already in use.

YOu can try to recover your account through Gamespy, start up vanilla BF2 and click the recover option.
Or you can use a different email address to create a new account.
