Mine markers disappear from map very quickly

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature so I posted it here. I was planting numerous pressure-plate IEDs around a cache on Falluujah and marking them. However, the makers seemed to disappear sporadically, sometimes less than a minute after I placed a mine. My squadmates kept on running over the mines because the markers kept on disappearing from the map. Is this intentional?

Also, has anyone reported the bug that doesn't let you give up? I've had this happen to me repeatedly and had to rejoin the game every time.

You can only place 3 markers for each player. So the 4th one you place removes the first one.

And you need to explain the give up bug a bit better.

Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing you set a limit to keep players from spamming markers, right? I remember people drawing on the map with them before 1.0.

OK, the can't give up bug... When I was playing on Fallujah as an insurgent I got hit with a grenade while going down a ladder in the hospital. I fell to the base of the ladder wounded and but couldn't give up no matter how many times I pressed the "give up" button. It just wasn't responding. This also happened to me two times in one round on Karbala though I can't remember how I was wounded. I couldn't respawn because of this so I had to rejoin the game. I asked on chat about it and someone said it was a glitch/bug so I know it's happened to other people as well. Hope that helps.

I've had the 'impossible to give up' situation too. I can't recall exactly how I died, but it was in an abnormal circumstance... maybe out of bounds or something... and yeah the only options were:

- Wait for the 5 min timer to expire
- Rejoin the server

(I chose the latter)

If you want to place many mines, go commander and place mine markers.

..or ask admins to dead-dead you with "!r admins, please.."
