im defiantly D4L. there is no other game with richer gameplay than pr. there is so much more to pr than other run-n-gun fps games. each time you play on a pr server you walk away with good friends and AMAZING stories to tell

edit- i tried to add poll but i cant figure out how

My story of PR starts when I was like 8 and got BF2 for dirt cheap at a garage sale. Loved it for a few years but in 2009, I was told about PR, hopped on 0.86 for a bit, sorta sucked but loved it. Soon, Bad Company 2 had come out and I did not like it as much as it was hyped to be. A year or so later, I found PR sitting on my Desktop, waiting to be played. Wondering why no servers were up, I realized .957 had just came out a day or two earlier, watched a few videos of it, read the manual that was screaming "READ ME" (not) on Scroogle Search for about 2 minutes and DLd it... Got Mumble, as the squeaky (still am lol) 11 year old and loaded up a Server on Silent Eagle which had the German Faction just added, loved the a2d on the map and the realistic weapons, factions and gameplay. The teamwork is by far the best in any game out there! Of course, I never played Vanilla again...

Ever since I got into PR, every other shooter has felt shallow and unrewarding. Seriously, even BF4 looks like a joke to me. PR is the only game I need.

Been on since the 1.0 roll out. Not sure why it took so long for me to come across it. Guessing my PC specs were not good enough so I did not investigate. Was a huge fan of OFP and played religiously. Since then my bar is set high for FPS games. Lots of WWII online, RO and way to much BF2. I remember playing some earlier BF2 mods and loved the the more realistic aspects that were improved over vanilla BF2. Took about a year off and returned for a another year of Vanilla BF2 and then there is was- PR BF2 1.0, and new PC had the power.

There are no other games at this point. PR is all I need for my military FPS fix. I have not played anything but. I now sit around a worry if PC will be ready for PR2, that and if my wife is gonna leave me for playing every night. God I hope I can afford new PC.

Here is another one. It mostly depends on the players playing the game though. I like over the top unrealitstic games too, but then I am gonna play something like space marines rather than cod. It would be nice to have more games like PR come forward though, Arma 2 was promising as a plattform had issues though.

I don't recall when I first started playing; but it was definitely somewhere before 0.86.

Hello guys, I'm an former member of clan PIT. Our guys sponsored the official PR ladder league*. First league match btw; PIT vs. DEVs. Remember Rhino? I was first kill in match. You were up on the archway at the city square and you sniped my *** good. I re-spawned, came back your way, snuck up on you, waited patiently as you slowly descended the ladder, then did you in nicely just before you could hit the pavement. Ya told me later you almost shat your pants?....hahaha.

I've played PR steady from the 0.3 (When it was called a mini mod) to about 0.6. Beyond that I kept up with the versions, played a little, but slowly dropped out as did most of my peers for various reasons. Not to patronize the Devs and community at large but I must say in all humility that this was/is the finest, most gentile, and thoughtful gaming community bar none. I've missed it terribly and am now ready to commit myself once again to playing PR on a regular basis.

I am really digging 1.1 for it's refinement and scope, and what I personally feel as a perfect compromise on the weapon deviation. Thank you Devs for a wonderful build!

*I'd be most interested in reviving or starting a new league.

Unfortunately the competitive scene is all but dead in PR now, i the best you'll look to get are good matches on JFTD over at New Era, or FH tourney which is about to finish. Clans just simply don't have the numbers to field a team anymore.

Project reality is maybe the best video game experience in my life. To be honest that was the game i was looking for and any of these recent game will change my opinion, it's brought me so much pro's irl (essentially in english wich is important for my future job). I also realized with the recent death of my playing friend 12.7 (died of a generalized cancer) how players can affected your mind and behind all your name there is probably some good people !

- Thanks much Curry, I'm glad to be back amongst true gaming comrades once again and extremely avid for organized as well as casual play. The second link; PRTA UCT is similar to what I was referring to. I'll address specifics below as well as acknowledge another of my future teammates. Again thank you very much for the warm welcome and hope to see you in game.

- Fizzco, a ladder system, unlike a full tournament, pits officially registered, limited member, squads (not necessarily clans) against other such squads in an on going, open challenge format with no official date stamp. It's up to the teams to negotiate when available. With of course some limited forfeiture rules. Winning two out of three heats per match would place your team up the ladder depending upon variables. Much easier to muster a good squad to play on a open timetable than trying to organize two large forces for a resolute time. Only real draw back is that it can be quite competitive. But after all this is PR and we pride ourselves on sportsman like behavior.

- For me as well KillJoy. I've never had a better experience gaming as with the PR community. In fact I quit two great clans in order to enjoy the general company over limited relationships. I'm terribly sorry to hear of your loss. The dead are at peace, it's the survivors that suffer. So I offer you my condolences. My name? haha...I've been using it since my quake3 playing days when a terrible name gave one an edge. Honestly, I have tried different more team friendly names since the advent of BF42/DC mod, but I just can't shake it loose. Besides how might my friends through the years ever find me? You may call me JP if you like. I assure you that I am exclusively team oriented and a most pleasant fellow regardless of moniker.

Hi, I'm Ace and I'm a PRaholic.

Hi Ace!

I first started playing in early 2006, when I was in high school. I was totally infatuated with BF2 and when it first came out I bought a microphone with it, not realizing I had to have a decent internet connection to play :P After I got a suitable internet connection, I joined a clan and got to play BF2 with some amazing teamwork and consistent winning. Those original bunch of guys were amazing; one would organize us and hide, one would be a top notch medic, one would take engineer, another AT. We played BF2 the way PR should be played.

After I found PR, around 0.6, I was hooked. If I could get in, I played Ejod Desert on TG, or Al Basrah on the Battle Arena. It was some of the best PR I have ever experienced.

I went to college in August of 2007, my forum sign up time, and started a training server from my old laptop; my connection could only handle 16 players, but damn it was fun. Thanks for the Kashan edit Bubba, where ever you are :)

Fast forward to 2009, I was looking for a server one fine day, and 100 miles from me in Phoenix, AZ I found a training server for ]CIA[. I joined up and found some Crazy guy directed 4 of his "]CIA[ agents" with SAWs in a training exercise designed to illustrate the power of suppression. I was a target :P Thanks Rogue. I said I new how to set up a server, so I did, and became ]CIA['s Lead Admin for 3 years, devoting my extra and not-so-extra time to setting up and maintain server as well as guiding and directing admin actions in this time.

Sidenote: All of what I learned from my BF2 clan as an admin there, I applied to and improved upon in my tenure as ]CIA['s lead admin. I am proud of my service to the ]CIA[ community and to the PR community.

Most recently I offered my gifts to voice act for the US Commander. For doing this, I am grateful for the opportunity to be immortalized in this way. A fitting tribute to my online life.

I haven't played PR in approx 4 months, and I am still feeling the withdrawal.

I don't think I will ever find a game with this much potential ever again.
