No need for this thread really but after getting back to PR1.0 from where I left ( 0.98?) the progress is nothing short of astonishing.

Really like the sounds, excellent immersion and menu theme is very hi res and clean but PR always knew how its done and sounds are no exceptions.

The particles pushed the game to yet another level immersion wise. Firing the humvee bmg .50 has never looked so beautiful and of course this is true for explosions too


You lads can shamelessly pat yourselves on the back because its very well deserved.

I absolutely love the effects (both sound and visual) in 1.0 as well. The first time I saw an RPG explosion I couldn't believe the devs got so much out of this old engine. The distant gunshots are also done really well and add to the immersion. Definitely a great job. I miss the JDAM and artillery shell IED effects from the older versions but there's lots to make up for it :razz:

Personally I think the smoke trails on the 50cals is fucking sick, is there any possibility of seeing it on any other weapons in the future?

My personal favorite so far is firing a 50 cal during the night time from an emplacement; the rounds and tracers flying to the target and the fire from the barrel after each shot is just amazing!

I find myself shooting at nothing quite a bit, which in hindsight has been a bad thing a few times, but it's so beautiful :')

The sounds and special effects are absolutely mind-blowingly awesome :)

I like how the Russian Commander Station has the Coffee mug with the small steam effect on it, really nice touch.

Are you going to remove the sparks from bullet impacts? Its completely unrealistic.
