Error 73 when updating to 1.1.4.0

Post by Buttercup »

After the first 10 upgrade tries with numerous errors "failed to open as zip file" "some bullshit of file wasn`t as expected" a.s.o.
I get error 76 after redownloading the whole installer.

Now...after complete bf reinstallation i get error 73: existing entry does not match target entry...content\objects-weapons-client.zip\weapons\handheld\vnrif_nagantzf\sounds\nagant_fire_1p.wav

Next try 73: content\menu_client.zip\atlas\menuatlas0.dds

I already reinstalled it four times in different ways, overwriting the old files, deleting them before, complete reinstall and without firewall and av.

Edit: F*** me, now it worked magically at the fifth try, I have no clue why but ok. For the protocoll, it started with error 76 (hadn`t installed test airfield) every time and the aborted update corrupted some files so i got a lot of different error 73 messages, so i guess reinstalling until it works is the only solution for this prob. (keep your PR installer for future use, it saves a lot of time ;) . )

thx for the reply.

Zyco187 you MUST move the levels/test airfield/ directory out of the mods/pr directory BEFORE you attempt to update to 1.1.4.0 .

Once the update is completed, log in once to test, then you can move the levels/test airfield/ directory back into the mods/pr/levels directory .
