Error 20 [FIXED]
Having been away from this mod for about a half year I decided to try it again, although switching computers seem to have screwed something up. Note it is a fresh install from the ISO.
Abridged Error:
20: Error validating file:
(link to PR in mods file)\bin\Reality.BF2.dll
A required certificate is not withing its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file (0x800B0101)
No error file to report.
Speedy reply would be very appreciated!

Here's a copy of my file version 1.1.4.0 :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3o0gwnbm7orjq ... ty.BF2.dll
copy to that location, try to update again.
It should work.
If not, post back.

Re: Error 20
As aforementioned, make sure your system is using the correct time and date for your area. That's what fixed it for me, if you have to manually switch it to within a minute of the time. From what I can tell PR uses a Validation Timer, to ensure you are whe3re you say you are or something along those lines.

Re: Error 20
To anyone experiencing this problem, there was an error made on the part of the PR team, and it will be fixed within the next day or two.
Nothing is broken on your end if you get this error, you'll have to wait a few days to validate the update.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it means that the file can't ping that its there, thus not validating.508th Templar wrote:validate?

Re: Error 20
Set your Windows time to a date prior to March 17 2014.
Then try to update.
After it validates, you can then change your Windows system date to today's date and time.
A workaround solution for now.

Doing this actuallly now lets me get to the launcher but trying to update gives me another validation error then quits the launcher.[R-COM]LITOralis.nMd wrote:Set your Windows time to a date prior to March 17 2014.

Trinnity, I don't actually know what that means. I will pass it up the chain to the DEVs to respond,

So we wait and hope.

Re: Error 20
Just change your date back, then remember to change it back to current date.
It won't screw anything up, Microsoft always get the clock changes for Chile wrong, that screws the whole country up a bit, but all software still keeps running fine.
No joke, got the same error on my WhatsApp on my telephone today when returning from deployment at sea. Seriously, why put time limit stamps on software, pertically stuff like WhatsApp which will auto update if there is an update anyway.
On a side note, this is so easy to sort out, unlike Red Orchestra 2, been trying to get it to run for three days now with no luck! Bloody steam forcing me to download it every time I uninstall and install it (11gb). Ugh.

Re: Error 20
Any updates from the devs? Still getting this error on Vista, have tried to launch it with the date changed prior to the 17th and it's still not working. Really wanna jump back in.
Edit - Just read the patch notes for the new update and it says you guys have fixed error 20. Doing the date change and trying to hit update gives me that error I posted previously so I'm not sure how I could apply the update. Any way to manually install it?
