But, honestly, there are very few times I really "CROUCHED" in PR for a long period of time. In combat, I just hit the deck behind cover.

But, you would think EA would have implanted a toggle crouch button.... lol.
i use it quite frequently when covering doors and stuff just to make my soldier a smaller target.

Yes, you are correct.

Do you have it Key-Binded to Ctrl?

I think there could be a poll, maybe...

Would you like a Toggle Crouch Button?

Yes

No.

That would help out dramatically if the Devs were able to put in the Toggle Couch Button.

Does punkbuster ban for 3rd party macros? im guessing this is a yes or BF2 would have been full of pistol whippers.

Im using autohotkey for crouch toggle since 0.9 and never had problems with it.

Personally I would not like this at all.

Just use autohotkey guys. No need to burden the devs with something that is already easily solved.

It wont be much of a burden to make the launcher launch a simple script.

Completely agree, I'm only just getting into PR BF2 but I find the lack of a toggle crouch really awkward and tiring as I tend to use crouch a lot. This is a basic control in just about all fps's these days, please consider including it. Thanks :-)

Someone has to explain to me how holding a key on a keyboard causes so much fatigue for you all.

It's uncomfortable, it's the same with toggle for scoping in. Would it cost you much energy to hold RMB pressed the whole time? No. Is it unnecessary annoying? Yes.

Toggling buttons that are used over extended periods of time should be default IMO (including stances, movement speeds, etc.).

Not having to hold crouch is probably going to stay cause it might be hard coded but hey I get why it can get old. The issue I have a lot is when I press Z to go prone many times nothing happens. I've done this with multiple keyboards and have the same problem. It's not a problem all the time but it does happen. Only thing I wish was like a press and forget is the shovel for building stuff. Instead of my using my weird contraption to hold the mouse button down a simple double click or something would be nice. Cheers !

I don't see why people can't just use AHK...

Ha! This is the only time having Dupuytren's contracture is a bonus!

My little finger on my left hand has a permanent bend that means it is just a slight twitch to shift between running or crouching.

I've said this before in other threads, but the thing that works for me is switching the JUMP and CROUCH keys. Much easier to hold down the space bar with your thumb, and I rarely jump, so the pinky on the left control key is fine.
